_TI***2vWe got some great deals through trip.com for the Line A route. We visited in December 9th 2025 and there were some maintenance work happening in the cable car section between Middle station and Upper station, so we had to down at the middle station and take the bus route to reach the bottom of Tianmen Cave. From there you can either climb the 999 steps or take escalator to the mountain top. Please remember that Mountain top is huge and you can do 2 routes there, East and West. We spend 2-3 hours up top. To complete one of East/West loop I think it would take minimum 4-5 hours. Please keep that in mind!

ZooooooooeIt's definitely worth a visit, and you should definitely choose a guided tour. The combination of the guided tour and seeing it with your own eyes is truly breathtaking. Highly recommended. Furthermore, Zou Xiaojing, the guide, is excellent and also uses her own knowledge map database to help us better understand history.

M29***06Orange Isle holds unique historical and cultural significance, making it a must-visit in Changsha. As for the river cruise at night, it's pretty much the same everywhere, and the ticket prices are similar. If you haven't experienced it elsewhere before, you can give it a try. The Xiangjiang River cruise lasts about 40-50 minutes and includes a ticket to the Orange Isle mini-train, making it relatively good value for money.

苏小满8866Climbing Yueyang Tower, one truly understands that the phrase "embracing distant mountains and swallowing the Yangtze River" is no exaggeration. The ancient tower, with its intricate mortise and tenon joints and flying eaves, reflects the misty waves of Dongting Lake through its red walls, creating a picturesque scene of "shimmering light and leaping gold." The couplets along the corridors encapsulate a thousand years of cultural heritage, and the spirit of "worrying about joys and sorrows" echoes with the sound of the waves. At night, the tower is ablaze with lights, and the integration of culture and tourism gives this thousand-year-old landmark a new lease on life—a cultural feast where both scenery and spirit are unparalleled. The weather was great, perfect for taking photos.

oana nIt's a nice building but what makes it special is the atmosphere and the shows, search for the official programme of the different little performance and wait to see it all, they are worth the money.

jointh songGaoyiling, a place whose true beauty speaks for itself! I dare say, once you've seen it, the magnificent panorama of red cliffs, emerald waters, and crimson clouds will undoubtedly become the most stunning cover image in your phone's photo album. This isn't the gentle water towns of Jiangnan, but a wonderland where the ruggedness and colors of the earth are magnified infinitely. Walking along the "Dragon's Backbone," with bare, continuous mountain ridges beneath your feet and steep cliffs and emerald lakes on either side, every step feels like strolling on clouds, your heart pounding with the breathtaking scenery. The steps of the Sky Ladder may be physically demanding, but as you conquer them, the breathtaking panorama before you instantly washes away all fatigue. The suspended walkway (if open) offers an exceptional vantage point, allowing you to embrace this masterpiece of nature from every angle. It's also worth mentioning that the experiences offered here are quite abundant. Whether you're looking for thrills like Via Ferrata climbing and ziplining, or a more leisurely experience with the cliff swing and cloud mirror viewing platform, there's something for everyone. I personally tried the ziplining; the speed and exhilaration of plunging down from the heights, combined with the breathtaking mountain scenery, are definitely worth the experience! The only downside might be the intense sun! The entire scenic area offers virtually no shade, so sun protection is essential. Hats, sunglasses, and sun-protective clothing are indispensable, and it's best to avoid the midday sun. Overall, Gaoyiling is the kind of top-tier geological wonder you absolutely can't miss if you're already there. It may not have many recreational facilities, but its pristine, wild, and magnificent beauty is enough to let you feel the purest power of nature. I highly recommend it to all nature lovers, hikers, and photographers. Trust me, it will become one of the most unforgettable spots on your trip.

Anonymous userFriendly reminder: Remember to buy tickets for the shuttle bus up and down the mountain! Don't force yourself to endure the hardship! It's a great deal at 88 yuan! The road up the mountain isn't particularly scenic; it's mostly a winding, narrow road. It requires sincere prayers to climb; the incense is very strong and believed to be very efficacious. However, for someone like me who just wants to enjoy the scenery, other mountains or other places in Hengyang would be more worthwhile.

Anonymous userYuelu Mountain is truly beautiful in autumn. I was the only one there for the 3:30 PM tour, enjoying the perks of a private tour. But the tour guide was incredibly attentive, providing a thorough and detailed explanation – a fantastic experience!
