4.9/5Tablet666The moment you step into the garden of Versailles, you feel like you are in the golden dream of the Sun King. The hedges trimmed into geometric patterns are oily in the sun, and the golden chariots of the Apollo statue in the fountain pool seem to break out of the water. I walked barefoot across the lawn to the night music fountain show, the water column danced with the baroque movement, and the moonlight plated the silver edge of the Latona fountain. The most shocking thing is to stand at the end of the Grand Canal and look back at the palace, 300 years ago, the extreme luxury and human artistic ambition, spread out into a living oil painting in the sunset.
