Trip Moments in Atlantic City

The Mother’s Day concert was absolutely incredible! From beginning to end, the energy was amazing, and it was the perfect way to celebrate all the mothers in attendance. Xscape sounded phenomenal, performing all of their classic hits with the same powerful vocals we all know and love. Kenny Lattimore delivered a smooth, soulful performance that had the entire crowd singing along, and Jodeci closed out the night with an unforgettable set full of energy, nostalgia, and timeless R&B classics.

Atlantic City calls with its vibrant boardwalk, sandy beaches, and unbeatable entertainment – and the Showboat Hotel is the place to be if you want it all in one spot! 🎰🌊 Whether you’re chasing ocean breezes, late-night vibes, or family-friendly fun, this hotel is your ticket to a no-hassle, jam-packed getaway.

Top Spots to Visit:
1. Showboat Hotel Atlantic City
📍 801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ
This hotel puts you right in the heart of the action. Check in and you’re literally steps from the beach and the buzzing Atlantic City Boardwalk, so you can maximize your playtime and minimize your taxi budget.

2. On-Site Fun for All Ages
You don’t actually need to leave! The Showboat features an epic indoor waterpark for the kids (or your inner child), a massive arcade, and a go-kart track. For grown-ups, the adult-only pools and poolside bar hit different after a long day of exploring.

3. Boardwalk Meandering
Grab a coffee and stroll the legendary Boardwalk outside your door. You’ll find street performers, snack stands, shops, and even those nostalgic steel pier amusements just a few minutes away.

Best Tips & Tricks
· Showboat’s location is perfect for families or groups since you can split up and everyone still finds something fun to do within the hotel or just outside.
· Review the extra fees (parking, resort) before you book to avoid surprise charges at checkout.
· Don’t miss the hotel’s updated sections – rooms here are more modern and comfortable, so request one if possible!

Atlantic City Eats
The Boardwalk’s got something for every craving: pizza, funnel cake, and seafood shacks – all just a short walk away.

Get around on foot or use city jitneys for cheap rides anywhere in town. Atlantic City is mostly card-friendly, but stash some cash for boardwalk snacks. Summer’s hot, so pack comfy shoes and sunscreen.

Atlantic City Day Trip | Here's a Super Fun Guide

Atlantic City Day Trip | Here's a Super Fun Guide

I usually spend my vacation leaves in Tokyo or Osaka hunting for anime merchandise, but I decided to do a quick 8-day run of the US East Coast recently. Flew out from Cebu.

If you are planning a multi-city trip covering New York, Philly, and Boston, here is a straightforward evaluation of what is actually worth your time and what you can skip.

· *New York City**
· **The Edge & Hudson Yards:** Overpriced just for a view. If you’ve seen skylines in Tokyo or Singapore, this is pretty average.
· **Central Park & Bryant Park:** Central Park is decent for a morning walk to clear your head. Bryant Park's winter market was alright, but extremely crowded and the food was overpriced.
· **The Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art):** This one is actually worth it. It is massive, so wear proper walking shoes. The rebuilt Egyptian temple inside is the highlight.

· *Philadelphia**
· **Penn Museum (UPenn):** As someone who prefers structured, historical exhibits, this was a solid stop. Excellent collection of global artifacts, much quieter and easier to appreciate than the museums in NYC.
· **Independence Hall:** Standard historical landmark. Good if you like history, skip if you don't care about US heritage.

· *Boston & Area**
· **MIT & West Point:** Visited the campuses. MIT was interesting from an engineering perspective, though it's ultimately just a campus. West Point has a very rigid, military atmosphere—decent but nothing spectacular.
· **New England Aquarium:** Skip this. It is quite basic. You can find much better aquariums in Japan or elsewhere in Asia.
· **Quincy Market:** Basically a tourist trap food court. The clam chowder was okay, but nothing to write home about.

· *A few practical tips:**
1. **Data:** Do not rely on international roaming. Buy a local US eSIM before you fly out. It’s cheaper and more reliable.
2. **Payment:** Everyone says the US is cashless, but keep some USD cash on hand. Some smaller vendors and transport services still prefer cash.
3. **Gear:** You will easily log 15,000 to 20,000 steps a day. Do not try to look fashionable; wear solid, supportive walking shoes. Bring a light windbreaker if you are going in October as the wind gets quite cold in Boston.
