Renfe provides young people aged 14 to 25 with up to 30% off train fares through the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50. This card is valid for one year and cannot be transferred. Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare
Renfe offers discounted fares for large families in Spain, providing a 20% reduction for general category families and 50% for special category families on most services, including AVE and Larga Distancia trains. These discounts exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. Single-parent families can also access discounts on Rodalies trains in Catalonia with a valid certificate from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

For those aged over 60, Renfe offers up to 40% discounts with the Tarjeta Dorada. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. The discount on Avant trains is more substantial on weekends. Refunds or changes to tickets depend on the type of ticket and may come with a fee.
Renfe Children Fare
Children aged 4 to 13 receive a 40% discount on ticket fares with Renfe. They are entitled to choose seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and can make changes or get refunds based on the ticket type, potentially incurring a fee. Children under four travel for free but do not have a reserved seat. Note that, on Cercanías trains, the free travel age limit without a seat is under six years old.
