Children under four travel for free but do not receive a reserved seat. On Cercanías trains, children under six can travel for free without a reserved seat.

Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare

Large families traveling with Renfe in Spain can benefit from 20% discounts for general category families and 50% for special category families on most train services, including AVE and Larga Distancia. These offers exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. For single-parent families, discounts apply only to Rodalies trains in Catalonia with the appropriate documentation from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Renfe Group Fare

Groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains receive an 8% discount. Groups of 10 to 25 people travelling on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains can enjoy up to a 50% discount. For groups larger than 25 people, you can request a quote for approval. Note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If cancellation is necessary, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, with an applicable fee.

Renfe Young Persons Fare

With the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50, Renfe offers up to 30% off train fares for young people aged 14 to 25. This card is valid for a year and is non-transferable. Enjoy a 30% discount on AVE and AVE international trains, and get a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.

Renfe Disabled People Fare

Disabled passengers can benefit from Renfe's discounts, with savings of up to 40%. For just €6, you can get a Tarjeta Dorada, which allows you to travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for a year. The discount on Avant trains is greater during weekends.
