Based on 2,340 reviewsVaci Street is one of the well-known pedestrian shopping streets in the city center of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is located on the Pest side of the Danube River and runs roughly parallel to the riverbank. The street starts at Vörösmarty Square in the north and extends to the vicinity of the Central Market in the south. It is primarily a pedestrian street and is a popular destination for tourists to experience city life in Budapest, shop, relax, and taste local delicacies. With the continuous development of Pest, this street gradually became an important local transportation and commercial thoroughfare. Many of the buildings preserved along the street today were built between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Their exquisite facades, sculptural decorations, and European architectural styles add a rich historical charm to the street. Strolling along the street, you will find cafes, restaurants, shops, and specialty stores lining both sides.

Show More ReviewsVáz Street is located on the east side of the city center of Budapest. It is quite different from pedestrian streets in other cities. Váz Street is neither very long nor very wide. The only similarity is that it is lined with shops and has many tourists. Opposite the southern end of Váz Street is the Budapest Central Market.
