The Wales Millennium Centre is the centre and symbol of the redevelopment of Cardiff Bay, as well as a more important arts venue in Wales. The entire building is layered with Welsh slate in shades of purple, green and grey, topped by a copper-plated vaulted steel roof, giving it a very modern look. The ceiling above the main entrance of the Millennium Center, with 2-meter-high letter-shaped windows, spells out the poet Gwyneth Lewis in the background light at night: "From the melting pot of inspiration Truth and "The Earth Sings". You can wander freely in the common areas, or take a guided tour (approximately £6, 1 hour), go behind the giant letters, visit the main stage and changing rooms.
