Watching the Great Barrier Reef from a helicopter is indeed very beautiful, it is difficult to describe in words, and it is a unique view here, which is hard to see in other places. If you sign up for a helicopter tour, you must register as early as possible so that you can arrange a relatively early time to facilitate the arrangement of other activities on the platform. We went to register at 8:30 and arranged a flight at 12:20, which conflicted with the meal time and overlapped with the schedule of other activities. The time was very tight and it didn't feel very good.
The docks are concentrated in one area, marked with corresponding numbers, not far from the visitor center. You can directly board the ordered boat after verification with the electronic voucher. After the boat arrives at the outer barrier reef, you can move freely on the platform for 5 hours. You can take a semi-submarine and a glass-bottomed boat to enjoy the underwater scenery of the Great Barrier Reef, or you can pick up snorkeling equipment and go to the sea for activities. There is also a helicopter overlooking the Great Barrier Reef project (extra charge). A buffet lunch is provided on the boat. It is a very meaningful day.
The Magic Reef Great Barrier Reef Cruise is a luxury yacht for visiting the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns. On this yacht, you can receive simple diving training and enjoy seafood meals on the yacht. And under the guidance of the coach, you can snorkel or dive in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef, which is quite comfortable. Older tourists can also take the small submarine that comes with the yacht to go into the water to see the beautiful underwater world, which is really thoughtful.
A slightly larger cruise using their own flat bottom boat. We had over 40 people on board and the boat can hold 160 so it was very spacious and it was not busy at all on the day we were there. My wife had an ankle injury so wore a pair of well padded cold weather boots and enjoyed the day without getting wet. The diving was excellent and the fish featured in their ads made several appearances - as did the friendly puppies. Free semi-submersible and glass bottom boat trips and free diving equipment including wetsuit hire. Other activities were provided at cost price.
The Reef Dream Cruise in Cairns is the best ship for visiting the Great Barrier Reef. One ship can accommodate about 40 people. It will visit about 5 scenic spots in the Great Barrier Reef. At the same time, you can dive in the sea or go to the glass bottom under the ship to watch the beautiful underwater scenery. It is a very cost-effective way to visit the Great Barrier Reef and is worth experiencing.
