A person travels all over the UK - Glasgow (3)
🎀A slogan that can be seen everywhere in Glasgow is: 'People Make Glasgow'. It is also the brand of the city, indicating that people's spirit and attitude can create the unique quality of the city. It also reflects the characteristics of the city: direct, ambitious, and regretless.
🎀In Glasgow, roadside shops have their own designed signs, colorful and diverse in style, graffiti can be seen everywhere. The 'hat-wearing' Duke of Wellington statue (Figure 6️⃣) at the entrance of the Museum of Modern Art, initially a prank, someone climbed the statue late at night and put a traffic cone on the duke's head. Everyone thought this image could represent the city's humorous and relaxed attitude. After several rounds of taking it on and off, the municipal authorities finally compromised.
🎀Glasgow has outstanding architectural relics from the 18th to 19th centuries. With the continuous development of the city, modern and classical collide and blend here. In 1999, it was named 'UK City of Architecture and Design'. At the same time, Glasgow has a unique atmosphere of humanities and arts. There are many street performances, impromptu dramas, singing and dancing in the city center. People here are very passionate about music and fine arts. There are many theaters, museums and art galleries. If you travel to Scotland, don't miss this city.😀
Great visit at the GOMA in Glasgow Scotland. The famous statue outside often has a street cone on the riders head :)
The Glasgow Museum of Modern Art does not look big, and the whole building is in a distinct European architectural style. There is a tall knight statue at the door, and it is said that during the epidemic, someone wore a mask 😷.
What makes people excited about Glasgow is the cultural palaces everywhere. As a big city in Scotland, cultural relics can be seen everywhere.
Right next to the central street. The lobby on the first floor was pitch black. I thought it was closed when I first entered! Later I found out that they were showing documentaries! There was a circle of lazy sofas between the two big screens, which was very cool! I took a break after walking around...
The Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art is right next to George Square in the city center. The hotel we stayed in was diagonally opposite the gallery, so it was very close. The sculpture in front of the door is also quite peculiar. There is always a hat like a roadblock on its head.
The Grasse Museum of Modern Art is quite interesting. It is a very historic building and the art gallery is also very unique. There are a lot of modern artworks here, all of which are works by some famous artists in the castle.
