The city’s parks come alive with vibrant colors, especially in Kelvingrove Park and the Botanic Gardens, where the leaves turn brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold. I spent hours just wandering through the tree-lined paths. The best part? It’s completely free to enjoy these outdoor spaces. And what is more, you can see this city on a budget. Let me show you how! On arriving into the city at Glasgow’s Central Station, I took a walk around the city centre to take in its many sights on offer. And I mean many. Glasgow has a Victorian heritage, with many of its buildings and architecture dating back to the 1800’s. My first port of call was Princes Square. Built in 1840, this building has now been repurposed as a shopping mall, and it may possibly be one of the most attractive malls in existence. The glass dome with the intricate wooden escalators is a marvel to behold. And make sure you check out the Foucault pendulum on display. This simple device shows the Earth’s rotation on display. An interesting piece of physics that’s free to see! Wandering around Glasgow, there’s plenty of beautiful buildings and architecture on show. There’s also some of the original police boxes on show - a must for fans of Doctor Who! Make sure you also head over to Kelvingrove Park and in particular, the Art Gallery and Museum. The architecture will blow you away and the art on display will keep you occupied for hours. The best thing with this itinerary? Not only is it all under $100 - it’s all free!
