A multi-country Nordic tour, where stories and scenery unfold along the way. Looking forward to your next adventure!🌍✨
I'm amazed everytime I visit some old churches. And this was the best so far, This is located along the road Kanavatu, Helsinki. From Metro station i just walked around 17minutes to get here.
Uspensky Orthodox Church is the largest Orthodox church in Scandinavia. It has a strong Moscow architectural style and was built in the mid-eighteenth century. The exterior is a green dome with a golden spire and red bricks all around, which is quite eye-catching. It is said that the interior walls are very simple and were all painted by Russian painters. I have not done any in-depth research on religion, but the building itself is quite beautiful.
This is a Russian church in the center of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and it is also the cathedral of the Orthodox Church in Finland. It has many stories. The bricks on the outside come from the ruins of the castle, and the interior is gorgeous and solemn, full of Russian style.
The Spieski Orthodox Church is the largest Orthodox church in Finland. It was built when Finland was still under the rule of the Russian Tsar, so the Finns also call it the "Russian Church". The red building can be seen from a distance and you won't miss it if you come to the market.
🇫🇮Helsinki - Uspenski Cathedral, Helsinki Cathedral: No matter how you take photos on a cloudy day, they look so low-key. Once the clouds clear, they look so high-profile, right? When I went back to take a taxi, the black driver cursed all the way. After building a round of sea view houses, they reclaimed land outside the next year. Developers keep selling sea view houses. It's a pity that the previous homeowners can only enjoy the sea view for one year.
The last stop in Helsinki is Uspenski Cathedral, which is located on the top of a hill. You can see the beautiful scenery of the hill from the platform of the church. The golden green dome and dark red brick walls of the church are particularly eye-catching. You can see it from a distance, so it is called the "Red Church". It has a strong Moscow architectural style and is also the largest Orthodox church in Northern Europe.
