Starting from Qinhuangdao, we traveled nearly 1,000 kilometers to Hukou Waterfall in Linfen, Shanxi. It was very spectacular. The feeling of being there was different. It really shocked me. It was completely different from the picture. The picture could not show its magnificence. It is a place worth visiting.

You cannot drive in and can only take the scenic area bus, which is only about two kilometers and 20 yuan is a bit expensive. The Dragon Cave also charges an additional fee which is not very reasonable.

In spring, the glaciers melt, ice falls, and the giant dragon raises waves, the sound is like thunder, giving people a shocking sense of power; in summer, the river is surging, the turbid waves are emptied, the water volume of the waterfall reaches the maximum, and the majestic momentum makes people feel thrilling; in autumn, the fog is in the sky, the wind and rain are blurred, and the water of the Yellow River is sparkling under the sunset, like a poem and a painting, showing a different kind of beauty; in winter, the river is frozen, the icicles are upside down, and the whole waterfall seems to be frozen into a huge ice sculpture, crystal clear and spectacular. I have visited Hukou Waterfall before. However, it was winter, and the water was not as strong as it is now. The Yellow River is the boundary river between Shanxi and Shaanxi. The west of Hukou Waterfall is Hukou Township, Yichuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, and the east is Hukou Town, Ji County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. I personally think the Ji County side is more beautiful, and the Yichuan side seems to have built a wall along the riverside road. Hukou Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. At this point in the Yellow River, the cliffs on both sides are steep, and the river mouth shrinks like a Hukou. I was lucky this time. It was still raining heavily on the road, but when I arrived, the clouds cleared and the sun rose. The Yellow River has a huge water force, pouring down from the steep cliffs more than 20 meters high, majestic and magnificent. "A thousand miles of Yellow River is closed in a pot."
