Nantong Sendi Family Trip|Who understands the joy of staying inside a zoo!
Two days and one night checking in at Nantong Forest Wildlife Zoo with the kids, fully healed by the little animals, the kids were so happy they didn’t want to go home! Limited words, this article focuses on sharing the magical ways to enjoy the zoo, with separate guides for the hotel and the ice and snow park.
Early Saturday morning, we headed straight to Sendi Hotel to check in, stored our luggage, and rushed to the park. The hotel perks are amazing! You can enter and exit unlimited times over two days.
The first stop was the driving area. Highly recommend renting an electric car (single row 60 RMB/hour, double row 120 RMB/hour), the experience is fantastic~ Zebras, lambs, and deer walk right by the car, stretching their necks to snatch carrots. You can also feed brown bears, tigers, lions, and other fierce animals. The feeling of being so close to various animals is incredible, the kids were excited the whole time and had a blast.
After an hour in the driving area, we moved to the walking area! First, grab a guide map to follow the route and avoid getting lost~
Continuing with the electric car, it’s easy to check out super cute animals like ring-tailed lemurs, kangaroos, capybaras, and giraffes with the kids.
The international circus in the afternoon is a must-see! The live atmosphere is electrifying, with aerial acrobatics and animal performances one after another. The performers’ skills are amazing, and the kids applauded and cheered throughout. We didn’t buy VIP seats (60 RMB/person), but the regular seats had a great view too. If your budget allows, go for VIP for a closer spot~
Next was the animal science show, watching elephants and various birds and beasts perform wonderfully. The guide was very professional, educating the kids about animal habits, and the kids listened attentively.
Don’t miss the sea lion science show! The little sea lions are skilled at balancing balls and clapping, and they interact with the audience. The kids were glued to the show.
In the evening, we returned to Sendi Hotel. Opening the balcony door, we saw giraffes and zebras strolling on the grassland—an amazing experience! Breakfast even allows close-up feeding.
On the second day, we played at Sendi Ice and Snow Ocean Park, enjoying ice, snow, and sea lion shows—super fun. I will write a detailed article about it separately~
Tips: ① Staying at the hotel includes two-day access to both parks, great value; ② Animal science show times are fixed, plan your route in advance; ③ You can drive your own car or rent an electric car in the driving area. Personally, renting is more worry-free, no need to worry about animals scratching the vehicle.
We went on a weekday, and the experience of driving to feed the animals was fantastic. It wasn't crowded, and the animals had great appetites. 40 pounds of carrots weren't quite enough for three families. Feeding the black bear apples was especially fun. They have a water park in the summer and an indoor playground in the winter, offering a wide variety of activities. I would definitely go again.
The whole family came to visit, and we booked a whole vehicle with a guided tour. There were convenient parking spots where we could park anytime, watch the animals, and feed them. It was a very good experience.
You can now rent electric scooters to drive into the drive-through area, but the animal feeding experience isn't as good as before; many animals are now penned up and can't be fed. The circus performance is still quite exciting and worth seeing.
Annual card users basically go there once a month. I recommend everyone to drive an electric car to the self-driving area to feed the small animals. It costs 60 yuan per hour, which is more cost-effective than driving a car. Bring more carrots and go early. The small animals are more lively. I recommend pasta for meals. The children are very cute. There are also cultural and creative products now, which seem to be quite good. The big circus, penguin and elephant performances are all good, and there are free bumper cars. It is the first choice for children's outdoor activities.
Came on March 18, 2025. Nantong Forest Wildlife Park is really worth a visit. The entire zoo is divided into two parts: the walking area and the self-driving area, which is convenient for tourists to get close to the small animals in the park. Red pandas, "Casbara" (capybara), etc. are very popular small animals in the park. You can get close to them, touch them, and feed them here. In addition, there are many park projects and supporting services such as catering, amusement and performances in the park. In short, Nantong Forest Wildlife Park is a more fun zoo. In this season, you can see schools organizing students to come for spring outings every day, and there are self-driving tourists from all over Jiangsu Province. In addition, there are supporting accommodation facilities, which are distributed in many places in the park, with different room types, and you can get close to different animals, which is very suitable for parent-child travel.
Nantong Wildlife Park is very large, and there are many performances inside, including elephant performances, sea lion performances, international circus, water flying, etc., as well as nighttime bonfire parties, with rich programs. The experience of visiting wild animals by train is also good, and small animals will come to ask for food. It is recommended to play with ring-tailed lemurs, they will climb on you to ask for food, and their furry claws are very comfortable.
Let me give you my review! I had a great time on the May Day trip with my partner! I suggest that you follow the WeChat public account before you go, which has the show time, and then you can plan your itinerary for the whole day in the zoo according to the show time. We went there at 9 am and didn't come out until after 8 pm. Be sure to bring food and water! Bread and everything else! The food in the park is very expensive, for example, a sausage costs 10 yuan! It may not be delicious! Generally, there will be street performances when you enter the park in the morning, and then you start to see the animals. We finished visiting the walking area before 1 pm, and then lined up for the train, queuing for an hour. But the train was actually quite disappointing, because the animals were still in the fence, which was no different from the walking area, and it was still far away. But since you have gone, don't have any regrets. It is recommended to experience everything you can! Then we went to see the big circus, which lived up to its reputation and was very exciting! It felt like a concert, haha! It is recommended to line up early and choose a front row seat so that you can interact with the staff. After watching the big circus, we also watched the sea lion show. Although this is very routine, we just took a break because we were really tired. Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day. At night, we went to the white sand beach to watch the light and shadow show! The flashing lights are also amazing! But the wind is very strong and the temperature difference is very large. It is recommended to bring a jacket 🧥! Although we forgot to bring it haha. After watching the show, the whole day's trip ended here! Although it was tiring and cold, this is the norm after every play, so be mentally prepared! After all, happiness is real! It is a beautiful memory of me and my partner!
The entrance to the scenic area is divided into self-driving and general entrances. If you drive yourself, it is recommended to drive in first and bring some cut carrots and diced apples in advance to feed the small animals. Of course, you can also buy them in the scenic area... After entering, you will naturally park at the parking lot at the pedestrian entrance. After entering, you can have three options: 1. Walk; 2. Electric scooter; 3. Queue up for a sightseeing bus. Generally, I rent an electric scooter to go around the whole garden, and watch the performances by the way. After it's almost done, I return the scooter, and then pick a few areas I particularly like to take a good look at the small animals, such as feeding giraffes and black bears. If you bring children, the scenic area will rent baby strollers, the price is acceptable, and it will save you a lot of effort.
