Starting November 13, 15 life-sized RX-78-2 Gundams collectively descend on the riverside waterfront platform. The silver-white armor paired with crimson lines, along with exclusive collaborative designs created by 15 well-known merchants, cover everything from hardcore mecha styles to girly pink versions. The exhibition is free and open without reservation, letting both nostalgia fans and trendsetters fall in love.
Must-See Highlights: 15 Collaborative Gundams Each with Unique Features
This Gundam matrix is hailed as the "strongest collaboration lineup ever," with each unit carrying its own distinctive memory points. The streetwear collaboration models feature a black base tone, fluorescent green lightning patterns, and hidden graffiti designs, maximizing the rebellious street vibe; the pink gradient versions paired with pearl chains and cartoon shields break the hardcore mecha stereotype, becoming the top check-in spot for girls; the digital brand collaborations hide black technology, with LED eye lights glowing deep blue at night and miniature screens on the arms looping classic scenes, blending tech and nostalgia perfectly.
The sports brand collaborations also support interactive experiences—pressing sensor devices makes the mechas perform leg lifts, bends, and other moves, as if having a cross-dimensional conversation; plus, there’s a special four-color BAPE® family edition gathering BAPE®, AAPE, BABY MILO®, and APEE exclusive colors in one frame, creating a visual spark between fashion and mecha. Strolling along the riverside trail, the 15 Gundams line up neatly, their metallic armor gleaming in the river breeze, forming a stunning scene with the Huangpu River and industrial-style silos. Every snap is a masterpiece.
