A classic Lujiazui route.
Lujiazui is a must-see classic route! Here, you can enjoy the beautiful river view and the three tallest buildings in Pudong.
It is said that the scenery of Shanghai is half on the Bund and half in Lujiazui. The Bund is full of historical buildings, while Lujiazui is like the shining golden age. Spend half a day in Lujiazui, and you will definitely have a great time.
Route:
1. Take Metro Line 2, and you will see the Oriental Pearl Tower when you exit from Exit 1. You can take photos on the circular overpass, which is a great photo spot.
2. Next to the Oriental Pearl Tower is the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. If you are with children, you can go inside and have a look. There is a road like an "undersea tunnel" inside. When you walk in it, marine animals swim around you, and you will feel like you are under the sea. But please note that the aquarium is not very big.
3. Then go to the Jin Mao Tower, where you can take the most popular photos of the three tallest buildings in Pudong. The photo angle is very unique, and the photos are amazing.
4. Then go to the Shanghai Tower, which has the highest observation deck in Shanghai (the night view is better in my opinion). There is also a Duoyun Bookstore on the 52nd floor (if you go there on holidays, it is best to make an appointment in advance on the official account "Duoyun Books").
5. Then go to the Pudong Art Museum. The focus of our visit is not the exhibition, but the riverside viewing platform in front of the museum, which is the best place to enjoy the scenery of the Bund.
6. After this route, you have two options:
- Walk to the Taijizhan Ferry (about 1.5 km away) and take the Taigong Line ferry to the North Bund (note that the last ferry is at 19:00).
- Or walk to the Dongchang Road Ferry (about 1 km away) and take the Dongjin Line ferry to the Bund (the last ferry is at 18:30, and it may stop operating at 12:00 noon during holidays).
Of course, if you think walking and taking the ferry is troublesome, you can also choose to take the subway directly.
Other tips:
1. The intersection where the Oriental Pearl Tower is located can only be accessed via the circular overpass, but the overpass itself is also a good place to take photos, so don't miss it.
2. Opposite the Oriental Pearl Tower is the Disney flagship store, which you can also visit if you are interested.
3. There are many shopping malls around, such as IFC and Super Brand Mall, and there are many places to eat, so you don't have to worry about not finding your favorite food.
The Shanghai Tower is the pride of Shanghai and the pride of its people. Although it was drizzling that morning (snowflakes even fell at a height of 632 meters), the concert at the 126th damping level was still very impressive. After all, people don't usually come here, let alone on the first day of the new year!
This quarter's Ctrip travel giveaway of free tickets coincided with New Year's Day, coinciding with the first rays of dawn in 2026. Arriving early, I had the Shanghai Tower's elevator all to myself, taking me directly to the 119th floor. Having been to the Shanghai Tower observation deck countless times, this was the first time I'd seen Shanghai's "Insight" observation deck...
Listening to the songs of the students from Shanghai High School as they greeted the first rays of dawn in 2026, I felt that the new year would surely be smooth, peaceful, and joyful!
As a must-see attraction for tourists in Shanghai, the three skyscrapers in Lujiazui are really great for taking photos. Standing on the overpass of Zhengda Plaza is a good location for taking photos! It was a great experience. The Oriental Pearl Tower was very beautiful at night. There is also a store selling Disney products next to it, which can be used as souvenirs and gifts for children. There is Oriental 5000 nearby, which was really great! I am not interested in singing and dancing performances, but I was also attracted by Shenzhen. There are many choices of food around. Shanghai is indeed the Magic City.
