Pearl Tower Views, Sky High and Totally Worth It#chinatravel Going up the Oriental Pearl Tower is one of those classic Shanghai things you just gotta do. It’s super tall, super pink, and kinda funky looking, but the view? Absolute fire. From the top, you get this unreal 360 view of the whole city, skyscrapers, the Bund, the crazy traffic, and the endless sprawl of buildings that go forever. There’s a glass floor section up there that’s kinda terrifying but fun if you’re into that. Pro tip: don’t look down if you’re scared of heights, or do and scream a little, it’s part of the experience. Go right before sunset if you can. You’ll get the best of both worlds, daylight shots and the city lighting up at night. Magic. There’s also a mini museum at the base about old Shanghai. It’s cool for a quick walk through, nothing too deep. It gets busy, especially on weekends, so book ahead or go early. Totally touristy, totally awesome. Come here for a buffet! The carrots are so cute, the fans are so adorable, and the lamb chops and salmon are so delicious! This place is perfect for taking photos, haha, I got the same pose as the lead singer!
The price-performance ratio is so-so. WMLS is fine for taking photos, but the food is just average and the variety isn't great. At over 200 yuan, it's a bit pricey, and the time limit is only two hours. The afternoon session at 1:30 pm is much less crowded, so I recommend going during that time slot.

Many people arrive in Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl is a must-check, but they usually ask how to buy tickets? The family play experience tells you that if you don't do a good strategy, it will really block your life! Experience sharing: 1. Queuing for 3 hours, sightseeing for 30 minutes is correct, we queued for more than four hours; 2. The second ball is indeed cost-effective, but relatively speaking, it takes time; 3. Remember to prepare some dry food and water before entering the tower. The time is really long. There will be some hot dogs and bread in the process of queuing. Banned items cannot be entered! 4. There are 6 elevators in the tower, each elevator can be 20 people; 5. Those with a baby must bring a baby car! 6. You can prepare a few coins, there are telescopes in the sightseeing tower, and there are also food to eat. 7. The order of visit is from the top and bottom, the total height is 263 floors, 351m, the speed is very fast, but down to the first floor, you need to walk the ladder down to the next floor (there is a glass corridor, you can experience it), first take the elevator to the first floor, and then take the sightseeing elevator to the first floor. The key: we spent about half an hour down, and there were basically no people queuing at around 8:20 in the evening. In general, if you want to queue less, one is a staggered peak; on the other hand, buying three-way balls and fast tracks will save a lot of time.
