Preface to "Tracing the Origin of Shanghai"
More than 2,000 years ago, Shanghai became the fief of Chunshen Jun Huang Xie, one of the "Four Lords of the Warring States Period". He led the people to gradually develop this place from a fishing village in the East China Sea to a land of fish and rice in the south of the Yangtze River. In order to commemorate the immortal achievements of Chunshen Jun and the great wisdom of the ancestors of Shanghai, later generations used "Shen" and "Hu", a bamboo fence for fishing tools, to refer to Shanghai.

The first show: Shanghai Jiangnan
The long Pujiang River has been flowing for thousands of years, giving birth to the Jiangnan region in Shanghai in poetry and painting. Jiangnan is a painting, misty and hazy, with ink and color; Jiangnan is a song, with soft Wu dialect, and endless vicissitudes of life. A boat, an umbrella, and a love, this is Jiangnan region in Shanghai.

The second show: Shanghai Beach
"A gateway to the sea and the river, a metropolis in the southeast." In 1843, Shanghai was officially opened to the outside world, and foreign companies poured in. From then on, the poetic and picturesque Jiangnan became the turbulent Shanghai Beach where Chinese and foreigners coexisted.

The third show: Modern Years
In the 1920s and 1930s, Shanghai was a place where Eastern and Western cultures met. Let us experience the modern times of the foreign concessions in the neon-lit night of Shanghai.

The fourth show: The Awakening Age
Shanghai is the starting point of the Chinese revolution. Young people full of revolutionary ideals, represented by Chen Yannian and Chen Qiaonian, fought one after another and dyed this land red with their youth and blood. Let us relive those magnificent and glorious years.

This place is beautiful with shows everywhere. Incredily well maintained and very clean. We went off-peak time (mid-Jan) so we didn't really need to feal with crowds. Once a show ends in one part of the park, another one starts somewhere else. It's like a bunch of movie sets smashed into one place and the actors replay famous movies scenes as live action segments. It does seem a bit expensive for what it is though. It does not have rides or anything, just watching stuff. Beautiful nonetheless. One show has a bunch of bubbles everywhere which i loved. In the eternal love show, a woman punched a 6 year old (not her kid) three times for accidentally stepping in her food that she put in the shared walkway and the police took her away very discreetly so security is guarenteed.
The "Flash Mob" in Shanghai Qianguqing Scenic Area is very interesting. My favorite part is the falling snow. When the music starts, the cheongsam women dance, and the snowflakes fall all over the sky, the actors will invite tourists to dance together. The scene is beautiful and harmonious. Of course, the cheongsam Qinghai shake part is also very interesting. The dynamic music makes everyone sway involuntarily.
- Rich cultural connotation: "Shanghai Eternal Love" condenses the cultural heritage and spirit of the times of Shanghai on a stage with a grand narrative perspective and delicate emotional expression. It uses a 1-hour high-density narrative to condense the excitement of the opening of the port, the gentleness of Jiangnan, the vigorous atmosphere of the glorious years, the brilliance of modern times, and the grandeur of the future into an audio-visual epic that "let the audience understand Shanghai". - Shocking stage effects: The performance uses advanced stage technology and special effects, and creates realistic scenes and atmospheres through lighting, sound, video and other means. It rains indoors, the theater turns into an ocean, oil-paper umbrellas fly out of the painting, buses drive onto the stage, and dance, drama, acrobatics, music and other art forms are organically integrated, allowing the audience to sometimes be in the picturesque Jiangnan water town, sometimes cross the turbulent Shanghai Beach, and sometimes return to the passionate awakening era.
Shanghai's ancient love is to understand the development history of Shanghai in the shortest time. Collecting education and teaching Yule, and the physical environment, the people have the feeling of being in their own situation! Plus many performance shows, it is even more wonderful, [cost-effective] very high! It is worth spending a whole day in the park, slowly swimming, and there are delicious food to eat! Very recommended! Thumbs up! !
I visited the Shanghai Qianguqing Scenic Area these two days. The time-travel flash mob show was particularly interesting. The main feature was that the time-travel street in the scenic area was decorated in the style of old Shanghai, which was very much in the style of old Shanghai. Combined with modern dance, the show effect was simply explosive. The actors performed very well and the interactivity was good. It was really great!
The Shanghai Eternal Love Scenic Area is amazing! The performance of "Shanghai Eternal Love" is super shocking, the stage effect is amazing, the actors' acting skills are superb, and they interpret the history of Shanghai vividly. I like the crossing street and time and space street in the scenic area very much. It seems to travel through time and space. There are also various interactive projects and parade performances, which are fun and interesting. It's really good.
