The National Pottery Museum

The National Museum of Ceramics and Luxury Art was established in 1954 and is housed in the Elpalacio del Marques de Dos Aguas, a magnificent Rococo building that is a work of art in itself, and each room is beautifully decorated. The pottery manufacturing industry in Valencia is very developed, and almost every village has developed a unique craft and style. The museum houses important ceramic works in various styles from prehistoric, Roman, Greek and Arabic. There is also no shortage of contemporary works, such as pottery making signed by Picasso. Ceramic traditions from Manises, Paterna and Alcora are also displayed here.
