ISLAND LUMINA is a multimedia interactive installation experience project launched by Kato Pleasure Group in collaboration with Moment Factory. The project is presented in Asia and is located on Io Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. ISLAND LUMINA revolves around the adventure story of a young girl, Yura. According to legend, the magic stone, which symbolizes light, was taken away by an evil dragon, causing the island to fall into darkness. In order to restore the light of the island, Yura embarked on an adventure to take back the magic stone from the claws of the dragon. Visitors will follow Yura's footsteps and enter a charming island that seems to be in mythology at dusk to search for beautiful jewels together. On the forest path about 1 km long, visitors can interact with light and shadow through simple actions such as waving and stepping, as if they are in a world full of magic. There are multiple interactive locations along the way, each with unique story-based 3D animations and light and shadow effects, allowing visitors to constantly discover surprises during the adventure. ISLAND LUMINA uses a variety of modern technological means such as lasers, lights, and projections to reshape more than 400 public spaces such as forests, churches, and islands. These technologies not only enhance the visual effects of the landscape, but also enable visitors to participate more deeply in the story. As a Lumina night tour project carried out in Asia, ISLAND LUMINA not only attracted a large number of tourists to experience it, but also became a new business card for local cultural tourism. Its successful hosting has injected new vitality into the cultural tourism night tour market in Japan and even Asia.
