Exploring the peaceful vibes of Kzylkend with stops at the iconic Hakone Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine was a total vibe shift—think lush greenery, spiritual spots, and a sprinkle of mysterious weather 🌧️⛩️ Here’s how to make the most of a day trip when traveling between Fuji and Hakone!

Must-See Places
Hakone Shrine (〒250-0522 Kanagawa, Ashigarashimo District, Hakone, Motohakone, 80-1)
Hidden in a serene forest and famous for its over-the-water torii gate, this spot is a must for epic photos, especially on misty days. It's open 9:00-16:00 and entry is free!

Kuzuryu Shrine
A quick walk through towering trees brings you to this peaceful retreat dedicated to the Dragon God of Hakone. It's less crowded, making it feel like your own secret pocket of tranquility. Early morning is best if you want it calm.

Travel Tips & My Experience:
Transitioning from Fuji to Hakone is smooth—opt for the local bus or, if you’re into scenic routes, grab the Hakone Tozan Train. I walked most of the day (so pack a light rain jacket because the weather absolutely switched it up and got rainy on me🌧️).

Both shrines offer classic touches of Chinese-style architecture and close-ups with nature, so keep your phone ready for cool signposts and tree shots. It can be slippery on cloudy days, so wear grippy shoes and bring an umbrella.
