Looking for a surreal escape in Batam? Check out my epic experience between two worlds: chill tranquility at Nongsa and foodie thrills in Nagoya 🌅🍜

Must-See Places & Insider Tips:
1. Montigo Resorts Nongsa (Jl. Hang Lekiu, Sambau, Batam)
If relaxation is your game, this place wins! Located far from the city buzz, it’s all about ocean views and lush quiet. The private villa pools are a dream—trust me, sunset beer in your own pool with panoramic scenery is peak vacation vibes. Bonus: weekends offer hotel shuttle buses direct to major shopping malls, so you get best of both worlds.

Once drop off the ferry. There are also shuttle picks you right up at Nagoya ferry—super easy, less crowded than Batam Centre.

2. Local Eats
Don't leave town before hitting the Eastern Foodcourt, just across from BCS Mall. Go early for the taro fish soup and fried prawns—they’re unforgettable. Eastern Foodcourt closes early and the best fare can sell out fast (abt 2pm or till sells out)!

How to Get Around:
Use the resort’s shuttle for ferry and mall trips—it’s a game changer if you want convenience minus the city crowds. Ferries to Nongsa are less chaotic and the staff makes transfers easy. Or just call grab or Gojek both widely used in Batam.

Food Recs:
Splurge on fish and prawn dishes in Nagoya, but sample resort seafood for a fancier night. Always book a sunset kelong dinner if you can!

Other Tips:
Weather is tropical—pack light, bring swimwear, and expect some humidity. Cash is king at foodcourts, but cards are good for hotels and malls. Double-check shuttle times with Montigo’s reception.
