Exploring the peaceful vibes of Kzylkend with stops at the iconic Hakone Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine was a total vibe shift—think lush greenery, spiritual spots, and a sprinkle of mysterious weather 🌧️⛩️ Here’s how to make the most of a day trip when traveling between Fuji and Hakone! Must-See Places Hakone Shrine (〒250-0522 Kanagawa, Ashigarashimo District, Hakone, Motohakone, 80-1) Hidden in a serene forest and famous for its over-the-water torii gate, this spot is a must for epic photos, especially on misty days. It's open 9:00-16:00 and entry is free! Kuzuryu Shrine A quick walk through towering trees brings you to this peaceful retreat dedicated to the Dragon God of Hakone. It's less crowded, making it feel like your own secret pocket of tranquility. Early morning is best if you want it calm. Travel Tips & My Experience: Transitioning from Fuji to Hakone is smooth—opt for the local bus or, if you’re into scenic routes, grab the Hakone Tozan Train. I walked most of the day (so pack a light rain jacket because the weather absolutely switched it up and got rainy on me🌧️). Both shrines offer classic touches of Chinese-style architecture and close-ups with nature, so keep your phone ready for cool signposts and tree shots. It can be slippery on cloudy days, so wear grippy shoes and bring an umbrella. #HakoneShrine #FujiToHakone #JapanNature #TravelTips #ShrineHopping

When it comes to enjoying the autumn foliage in Japan, it’s not just about visiting Kyoto. Starting from Osaka, the Kansai region itself offers a variety of autumn landscapes: the mix of red and yellow in Osaka’s parks, the layered maple colors in Kyoto’s gardens, the ancient temples and forest paths in Nara, and the autumn scenery paired with hot springs in Kobe’s mountains. 1. Why can’t you just pick one month for autumn leaves in Japan? 🍁 Don’t just ask, “Are the leaves red in Japan in November?” Instead, consider where you’re going and which week you’re planning to visit. Weather forecasts and weekly updates from specific spots are more reliable than fixed dates from previous years. Also, note that autumn leaves and ginkgo trees offer different colors: for a golden yellow landscape, head to ginkgo-lined avenues; for a mix of red, orange, and yellow, mountain forests and gardens are better options. The overall viewing season typically lasts from late October to early December. Areas like Hokkaido and Daisetsuzan turn colors earlier, while Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in Kansai usually reach their peak later in the season. Some regions in Kyushu may even see autumn colors later than that. 2. Kansai as the Main Stage: Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe⛩️ If it’s your first time visiting Kansai, combine autumn leaf viewing with city experiences. Kyoto offers classic sights like temple gardens, Arashiyama, and Togetsukyo Bridge, perfect for leisurely strolls and detailed exploration. Nara’s parks, ancient temples, and forest trails provide a more relaxed pace. In Kobe, you can pair the scenic views of Mount Rokko with a visit to Arima Onsen. Each area offers a unique experience, so there’s no need to cram everything into one day. Osaka is more than just a hub for accommodation and shopping. Osaka Castle Park is great for a city walk, while Minoh offers beautiful valleys and forests. If you want to explore autumn scenery around Osaka, plan your route based on proximity and travel time. Your itinerary should also consider your departure time, your companions’ energy levels, and how long you want to spend at each spot. Kansai’s popular autumn leaf spots can get crowded. To enjoy a more relaxed experience, start early, avoid weekends, or divide Kyoto into smaller areas for separate visits. Using Osaka as your base makes it easy to plan activities within the city and trips to Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Shiga, and Wakayama. If you’re traveling between cities daily, don’t forget to factor in travel time. 3. How to Plan One-Day or Multi-Day Routes from Osaka 🚗 If you’re short on time, stay within Osaka or choose one nearby destination. With two to three days, you can plan separate trips to Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, or Shiga. For example, if you love temples and gardens, allocate more time to Kyoto. If you want to combine natural scenery with hot springs, consider Kobe, Mount Rokko, and Arima Onsen. For a more relaxed itinerary, reduce the number of spots and allow ample time for meals and walking. Popular autumn destinations often experience traffic congestion, so the order of your route, pick-up/drop-off points, and time spent at each location can significantly impact your experience. Even a slight change in departure time can make a big difference in your day. 4. Tokyo, Nikko, and Hakone Have Their Own Autumn Charm 🗼 If your flight or vacation is centered around Tokyo, the Kanto region is also worth exploring. In Tokyo, you can visit ginkgo-lined avenues, parks, and gardens. For mountain and water scenery, consider adding Nikko, Lake Chuzenji, or Hakone to your itinerary. Around Mount Fuji, the views of the mountain and lakes are especially stunning on clear days, with autumn colors adding to the beauty. 5. From Hokkaido to Kyushu, Autumn Leaves Across Japan 🗾 For early autumn, keep an eye on Hokkaido’s Daisetsuzan and Sounkyo Gorge. If you enjoy valleys and lakes, check out Oirase Stream and Lake Towada in the Tohoku region. Central Japan offers high-altitude landscapes and hot springs. In Hiroshima’s Miyajima, Shikoku, and Kyushu, you can combine autumn scenery with coastal views, local cuisine, and hot springs. 6. Pre-Trip Tips to Keep in Mind 📌 ✅ Autumn leaf colors depend on weather, altitude, and specific locations, so even within the same city, the timing can vary. Once you’ve set your dates, check recent photos and updates from the spots you plan to visit. ✅ Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes, especially for forest trails that may become slippery after rain. ✅ Arrive early at popular spots and avoid overloading your itinerary. This autumn, take some time to slow down and truly enjoy the scenery.

Just got back from our homestay and realized the northern forests are so much cooler than downtown Beijing!! 🥵 Escaping into the mountains to beat the heat, we found this hot spring homestay hidden in a birch forest—it's a total summer savior! 💚 It's a hidden gem, quiet and uncrowded. With water play and bird watching, the kids didn't want to leave~ 😭 · 🌲 Green! Green! Green! The homestay is surrounded by forest on all sides, with super high negative oxygen ion levels—great for the kids' eyesight 🌿 Cool! Cool! Cool! We stayed for two days, and the high temperature never felt like it went over 25°C. There were light thunderstorms every day, making it super cool—one day it even dropped to 17°C!! ❄️ Water! Water! Water! The room has a private hot spring tub, and there's a public splash pool on-site. It's temperature-controlled, so no worries about the kids catching a chill 👏 · 📌 2026, weekly family adventures~ Stop 22: Northern Forest Hot Spring Resort 📍 Location: Baiyanggou Village, Qijia Town, Longhua, Chengde 🕒 Duration: 3 days, 2 nights 💰 Cost: 1,000+ for 2 adults and 1 child 👶 Baby's age: 2 years and 4 months · 🌈🌈🌈 Here's the travel guide: 🌟 Stay: Deluxe private hot spring king room with a separate wet/dry bathroom and a huge indoor tub! Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the birch forest, and the sunset paints the mountains in gentle golden-orange hues 🌅 🌟 Dining: The homestay includes a refined breakfast and welcome fruit upon check-in 🍉 We ordered local specialties for dinner—freshly picked and cooked to order. It's so much better than pre-made city food, delicious and healthy, and kid-friendly too~ There's also BBQ; enjoying skewers in the evening breeze sounds so cozy 🍢 🌟 Play: A private soak is a must! The hot spring water quality is said to be on par with Hakone, leaving your skin smooth and relaxed ✨ The outdoor splash pool is perfect for kids, with free swim rings and water guns, plus it's shaded so no sunburn! A little surprise: we found a bird's nest in a trash can at the homestay with eggs and chicks. The kids went to check on them every day and loved it 🐦 🌟 Baby services: The restaurant has high chairs and baby tableware; the room is equipped with a child's toilet seat and step stool; dolls and chess are free to use in the living room ♟️ In summer, the homestay also hosts concerts and mushroom picking, so adults can really immerse themselves too 🎵 🌟 Nearby: A 40-minute drive takes you to Black Bear Valley, where the shallow creek is perfect for wading. You can camp there, and there are lots of cows and sheep 🐂 We also visited Meilin Valley this time; it's more open and offers horseback riding 🐴 · ❣️❣️❣️ Travel tips: 1️⃣ There's a free parking lot right at the entrance. It's easy to drive directly there, and the grounds aren't huge, so you can skip the stroller. 2️⃣ There are so many birds on the grounds. Please don't disturb them when bird watching 💕 3️⃣ I feel the average summer temperature is about 7–8°C lower than in Beijing. There's a big temperature difference between day and night, so I recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket and sun hat 🧥 The creek water is cold, so I suggest wearing waterproof pants if you go in. 4️⃣ The homestay doesn't sell swimwear, so remember to bring your own!! They host events from time to time in summer, so feel free to ask the front desk before you check in 📞

One spare day in Tokyo does not automatically mean you should leave the city. For a broad first trip, protect your Tokyo time first: · 1–4 full usable days → usually stay in Tokyo · 5 days → day trip only if it is a real priority · 6+ days → one excursion becomes much easier to justify Then choose by the kind of day you actually want: ⛩️ KAMAKURA Best for temples, traditional atmosphere and the easiest day to shorten if energy drops. 🏔️ HAKONE Best for mountain scenery, onsen atmosphere and Fuji-view potential — but it has the most transport dependencies and weather sensitivity. 🌲 NIKKO Best for major shrine and temple heritage, but expect the biggest time commitment. Keep a first day trip focused on the World Heritage area rather than automatically adding Lake Chuzenji. If all three appeal equally, Kamakura is the simplest starting point for lower execution friction. But if Tokyo still feels unfinished? Keep the day in Tokyo. Save this planner, then check live transport and weather the night before you go. #Tokyo #TokyoDayTrip #Kamakura #Hakone #Nikko #JapanTravel #TokyoTravel #JapanTrip
Glad to know an option for better deal. Best deal for a last minute entrance. More than 20% savings.
JL DeadpoolGreat ropeway ride. Safe and fast. Long queue over weekend.
Anonymous userIt’s a fun experience. You get to see the Torii gate from afar.
MiAmore21Lake Ashi is beautiful. This time, I saw Mount Fuji every day. The blue sky and white clouds offered a distant view of Mount Fuji, and I could also see the Hakone Shrine floating on the water. According to the introduction, Lake Ashi is the most beautiful crater lake in Hakone.
sAviOr_07smoke and gas , the place is heating, that's why habe such great onsen there , must go to have a look and experience for this .
_TI***j0We booked the ticket on the day we travel going to Yunessan it was an easy and quick transaction. During weekends they starts by 9 am until 7pm. We reach there early so we roam around nearby facilities. Staffs are great and helpful. English speaking are also available. Inside they have a big lockers to change into swimwear. Free and paid place to rest. Nearby convenience store and restaurants are available but tend to be very busy. Great place for family. You can bring your cp inside but don’t forget to bring a plastic pouch cover for your cp because its expensive to by inside. Shampoo and conditioner and body soap and blowers are available as well. Parking are also available free for 2 hours and 1600 yen after that. Great budget friendly onsen pool. If you want the traditional onsen you can pay extra.
Liza KamiyamaI've been here last autumn season and I really love the place.
_FB***99the pirate ship is nicely decorated full of the pirate ship experience haha , the ride is good , although the weather was a bit cloudy
_TI***j0I made a special trip to visit Odawara Castle, a legendary stronghold from the Sengoku period known for its impregnability. While the castle tower is a later reconstruction, the historical materials inside are substantial. Ancient documents and a sand table vividly recreate the Battle of Odawara, allowing you to imagine the 100-day siege by Toyotomi Hideyoshi's army. The top floor offers a panoramic view of Sagami Bay, with mountains and sea stretching out before you. The entire castle is now a city park, quiet and not overcrowded. The stories of the five Hojo dynasties unfold quietly here, and the history of the "Odawara Pacification" evokes profound emotions. An hour is just right for exploring the castle tower, perfect for Sengoku history enthusiasts. Compared to the bustling Osaka Castle, this place possesses a more serene and profound atmosphere; standing by the walls, you can almost feel the last echoes of the Sengoku period in the Kanto region.
110***36The fire works are great , worthwhile going there , just wait and seated at the beach, enjoy the drinks , eating, then enjoying the show,
_TI***j0Based on Trip.com user data, Recommended sightseeing time: 1–3 day(s), allowing you to cover the main attractions while enjoying shopping, dining, and other experiences.
