Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has welcomed 7 new members to its wellness-focused collection. These new additions range from mountain retreats in India and Italy, tranquil forests in Finland and Transylvania, to tropical destinations in Bali and Panama, offering more choices for travelers seeking deep relaxation and a mind-body connection.
Launched in 2025, this wellness-focused collection brings together hotels that go beyond simple spa services, weaving wellness into the entire guest experience. Through thoughtful design, natural healing, nourishing cuisine, local culture, and carefully curated activities, these hotels offer guests holistic healing for the body, mind, and soul. Upholding the core philosophy of the collection, these hotels interpret the path to wellness in diverse ways while integrating the unique characteristics and traditions of their destinations.
One of the new members is Dharana at Shillim, located in Pune, India. Here, modern health assessments are combined with wellness practices such as Ayurvedic treatments, dietary adjustments, yoga, and breathwork, all set within an immersive natural experience in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Sahyadri Mountains.
Surrounded by protected forests, lakes, and mountains, the resort allows the natural landscape to shape every stay. By incorporating assessments across dimensions such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity, recovery, and metabolic health, the resort creates personalized wellness plans for guests.
Additionally, the resort features 99 villas where indoor and outdoor spaces blend seamlessly. Dining follows a "farm-to-table" philosophy: Green Table wellness restaurant offers personalized wellness menus, Ojas restaurant serves nourishing local and international cuisine, and Vyoma casual dining space focuses on light, relaxed meals. All dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients from the resort's own gardens and nearby farms.
The other 6 new members also interpret the collection's wellness philosophy in their own ways. In the tropical gardens of Nusa Dua, Bali, REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort skillfully combines functional fitness, spa treatments, and mindfulness practices with traditional Balinese healing rituals.
Zabola Estate in Transylvania helps guests slow down through forest walks, horseback riding, and wildlife encounters.
Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort on the Pacific coast of Panama features surfing, yoga, and creative dining, while Skýra Retreat in Finland focuses on saunas, cold plunges, and forest bathing.
Hotel Saltus in South Tyrol leverages the magnificent Alpine scenery, combining a deeply healing Forest Spa and panoramic Sky Pools with nature exploration experiences. Meanwhile, The Retreat Costa Rica, perched atop a crystal quartz mountain, integrates gourmet dining, yoga, sound healing, and crystal mountain hiking.
With the addition of these 7 new members, the wellness-focused collection showcases the diverse possibilities of wellness stays. Among the founding hotels of the collection, Acro Suites in Crete relies on the magnificent natural environment of the Aegean Sea, featuring cave-style architecture, breathwork, sound healing, and Mediterranean cuisine.
Namia River Retreat in Hoi An incorporates Vietnamese duong sinh breathwork, traditional herbal therapies, and riverside meditation rituals.
Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary builds every stay around Bhutanese Medicine, meditation, and spiritual practice, while Rio Perdido in Costa Rica balances physical and mental restoration with exploration through hot springs, forest trails, canyoning, and open-air healing.
Together with the founding members, these 7 new additions interpret the SLH philosophy: there is no fixed model for wellness. The culture, natural environment, and traditions of each destination can all provide unique meaning to deep relaxation.
