Our experience at this five-star hotel was truly outstanding. The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and impeccably clean. We especially appreciated the excellent breakfast/dinner selection and the serene atmosphere throughout the property. Highly recommended for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and first-class service.

First, the positives: the landscaping and pool areas are beautiful; our room was very clean and we had a lovely view and a massive balcony; most of the food at lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant was good (particularly the freshly cooked fish and meat). Unfortunately, we had a number of disappointing experiences and I truly do not believe this is a 5 star hotel. Firstly, and starting off with the smallest issue, the yellow and blue towels to use around the pool. Just why! This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but these towels look like they belong at Lidl or IKEA. They completely ruined the aesthetics around the pool and made it look cheap. This is of course a minor point but, when paying the prices that this hotel charges, we expect a certain appearance and standard. Secondly, on our second full day at the hotel, I sat back on my sunbed and it snapped completely underneath me. I complained to a nearby member of staff who did nothing. He looked at it, essentially shrugged and then went back to work. I then went to the hotel reception to complain. Again, they didn't seem to think it was a big deal. If my fingers had been underneath the back of the sunbed when I sat back they would have been crushed and I would have been seriously injured. I spoke with the hotel manager who did apologise and who said he would have the sunbed moved. It remained in situ until after 11pm, with a large piece of sharp plastic sitting on top of it. Thirdly, on the same day as the sunbed incident, the safe in our room stopped working. I was getting ready for dinner at 7.30pm and went to retrieve my engagement ring from the safe. I was met with an "error" message. I complained at reception and again, they essentially shrugged their shoulders and had an attitude of "what do you want me to do about it." We received no apology. I was informed an engineer was en route and that I'd get a call when he was nearby. Given the value of my engagement ring, I was obviously extremely perturbed that I could not get to it. We ended up missing dinner that night as we had to be available to go to our room to meet the engineer. Fourthly, and as mentioned above, the general attitude of the staff is unhelpful. Most are utterly miserable, the service in the restaurant was at times downright rude and we genuinely felt like we were inconveniencing them if we asked for another drink. Upon leaving the hotel on our final day, and indeed at any point during our time at the hotel, not once were we asked if we'd had a nice stay. The only exception to this is the chefs we interacted with at the live cooking stations, who were all pleasant and friendly. Fifthly, on our final day, we went back to our room to collect our bags at 11.50am, having spent the morning by the pool. Check out is 12pm. We got to our room and our keys had been deactivated, meaning we had to trek all the way to reception to get a new one. Upon asking why our key wasn't working the member of staff shrugged and just said

A great holiday. We are a family of 3 with an 8 year old child, we went half board and stayed in a superior suite with sea view. Arrival - we arrived late at night but the reception staff were welcoming and efficient which was appreciated after a long day travelling. The gentleman who took our bags to the room was also very pleasant and pointed out a few key areas to us even though it was dark when we arrived. Room - plenty of space with two wardrobes and plenty of storage for cases. The bathroom was large with a bath, separate shower and double sink. We never really used the lounge area but there was a table, tv, and sofa with a door to the balcony. The master bedroom was large with a super king bed, dressing table and door to the balcony. The ‘pull out’ bed for our child was comfortable. The balcony was large with a table and two chairs, two sun beds and a parasol. The only points of improvement I could suggest is there was only one bin in the lounge and one in the bathroom, it would have been helpful to have another in the bedroom, likewise as the rooms are made for 3-4 people another 1-2 chairs on the balcony would have been nice along with cushioned chairs. However these are minor points that had no material impact on our stay. Pool - there is no need to bring towels as on check in you receive a card for each person which is then exchanged for towels. The towel hut is on the slope in between the main salt water and chlorine pools and opens 10-6 each day. You receive two towels, one that hooks over the top of the bed and covers the entire sun-bed and then a blue towel for drying off. You can then exchange these when needed. We mainly used the main chlorine pool overlooking the sea. The pool area was kept clean and tidy with plenty of beds and parasols. The staff do enforce the no reserving beds in the morning and will remove towels if you aren’t present on the beds or in the pool which is great. Floaties are allowed in the pool and a lifeguard watches over both pools keeping a general eye on things. There is then another pool with water slides on the other side of the hotel. Pool bars - There is a small pool bar offering coffee, beer, soft drinks and cocktails with limited snacks such as crisps and ice creams at the chlorine pool. The main pool bar that serves food is next to the salt water pool one level up, a quick walk away. The food was nice - some sandwiches, pizza, pasta dishes, burgers, hot dogs etc available. It would have been nice for these to open about 10 but it was normally between 11.30 and 12. Main buffet restaurant - for context we personally don’t enjoy buffet restaurants and prefer to have more variety. We never had breakfast so cannot comment on that selection but for the evening meal we initially thought there was a good selection but in reality it’s a salad, fish, bbq and pasta station with the food being very similar every night so we chose to eat out on several nights. You can change your evening meal for lun

The rooms were amazing the views were superb and food was varied and quality. The staff went above and beyond to help In any situation with a smile on their face. We preferred staying on site as the facilities are great. There is very little evening entertainment, the magic show was really good and they had some singers during the week so there was something. As feedback to the hotel I would urge them to use the animation team in the other areas of the pool sites as these areas felt flat at times. Aquarobics or adult and children games would be good once a day. Spa area is in the hotel and Aesthetics is off site I had to find that out myself too late. The Aesthetics clinic is by Mint Mall. Los Cristianos Sunday Market is very busy and about 25 euro each way, the beach was not great windy and like black clay when wet. Siam park was the same price each way. It’s also very busy expect 40 mins wait time for every ride that’s in the morning. The lazy river is much worse and lack of organisation adds to the choas. Lastly I would like to thank all the wonderful staff who work at the Roca Nivera, they all contributed to our wonderful holiday

I don't know where to start with, but I can say one think, it was perfect, in everything they did. The whole hotel is like a small city, with everything you need, just there. I went with my family, and it was the first time when we didn't need to go outside the hotel, as you had from a very huge variety of food, to loads of pools and lots of places for kids. The staff was amazing, always, and I say always smiling, working very hard, organised to the very small detail, just to make everyone happy. Every everything different types of entertainment, making you feel like you're in a different world. Our little one and us, loved Roni, so we got her a small mascot or "baby shark" as she likes to call himWe would like to say a masive Thank You, to all of them, and we most definitely will go back. Don't hesitate to book your stay, you will never regret it. God bless you all❤️

Superb location, very quiet, allot of facilities and staff are very good. Location has a good amount of amenities available as well on site. The spa is a lovely plus with complimentary spa course which really hits the spot. Only criticism is the veggie/vegan areas, in some cases this can be around the restaurant as opposed to in a dedicated area, it can get confusing if you’re trying to locate something that has been moved to another location and you’re looking for an allergy free option but other than the food was excellent with multiple options available. Spanish food was amazing with really great dedicated options for kids.
