Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Serena Amboseli. The rooms were first rate and the staff was exceptional. All of our servers were great. Thanks to Meritei for accompanying us on a walk through the woods. And huge thanks to Chef Richard who cooked special gluten free meals for my wife. His kindness will not be forgotten. Like many places, no a/c in the room but with the overhead fan, the temperature at night was very comfortable. Very happy with our stay and with the phenomenal elephants of Amboseli.

Unique and wonderful experience! The venue is stunning and accommodation comfortable and charming.it is undoubtedly the staff that made our stay magical and so memorable. Service was outstanding , all staff superb with a total commitment to customer care. The genuine friendliness was a joy. Catering services were excellent. The bush dinner was a wonderful experience . Such special memories! The nature walk was an amazing experience. Thank you so much to all the staff for a fantastic stay ! We would not hesitate to highly recommend this superb venue and hope to return! Asanti sana !

The location is superb with minimal light pollution. All initiative to mimimize light pollution like light shielding is put in place. a nice view of the mount kilimanjaro. Very lively and friendly staff. Rooms decor is on point. Clean

We have just completed our sixth African safari, and sadly this lodge fell far below expectations. In our group of five, three became ill with what was clearly food poisoning. Losing three days to illness—confined to the room instead of out on safari—meant the trip was significantly impacted. While I recognize that food-related illness can occur despite precautions, prior reviews suggest this is an ongoing issue at Serena Lodge. Had I been aware of this pattern, I would have chosen differently. The nurse on site was excellent, providing medication and electrolytes, and the lodge brought in a doctor from Nairobi to assist. Even so, recurring food safety problems point to deeper issues that urgently need addressing.

The road in is very rough but driver did a fantastic job and used side ‘gutters’ where he could. Room was good. Hot water excellent. Food was good but they insisted on seating us at the same table each night - however did allow us to sit outside one night. Staff were very friendly. Saw lots of elephants on our game drives!
