Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

We have been going to Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc with my spouse every October for the past four years to celebrate a birthday and stay there. It is one of the most iconic hotels I have ever seen. I can say that the garden design is the most beautiful design I have ever come across in a hotel. The spa experience was very good. Most of the staff have not changed over the years, and they provide a service that harmonizes with the hotel’s character, which is something rare to find. The food is delicious and the rooms are spacious. Even the old pet cemetery next to the main building proves how deeply rooted and elegant the hotel is. Most likely, we will continue staying at this hotel every October.

Everything was wonderful, but just to mention — the ‘Tradition Room two Fountains’ was a bit misleading. It said courtyard view, but in reality it faced the parking area with some artificial greenery, and no fountains in sight Maybe it would be good to mention the parking view in the room description. The hotel is really beautiful, and I think guests prefer honest details — it helps manage expectations and avoids disappointment.

Our first stay at du Cap was in 1976. It just gets better and better each year! In my opinion, it is the most beautiful hotel in the world. What really makes it stand out is the amazing staff. They go the extra mile to make sure every aspect of your stay is perfect. They are friendly and welcoming with no attitude or snobbery as you might expect in a resort that caters to a well heeled clientele. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I visited the hotel this past May to celebrate our (belated) anniversary, and overall, we had a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beauty, elegance, and serenity of the property. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between refined luxury and relaxed charm. It truly feels like a private estate rather than a typical resort. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with champagne, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and a selection of treats and fruit in our room. It was a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Later in the week, the General Manager surprised us with another handwritten note and additional gifts. These personal touches made us feel genuinely appreciated and celebrated, and we were so grateful for the attention to detail. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and spotless throughout our stay. Housekeeping was exceptional. Beyond simply cleaning, they went the extra mile in thoughtful ways. For example, they placed sunglass cleaning wipes beside our sunglasses and neatly coiled our phone charger cords. These small gestures did not go unnoticed and reflect a team that truly cares about the guest experience. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Lunch at Louroc was outstanding. The food was delicious and the view was absolutely breathtaking. One evening, we dined at the Eden-Roc Restaurant, and not only was the meal superb, but we found ourselves seated near an A-list celebrity, which was incredible. Breakfasts were consistently excellent, but what made them especially memorable was the service, particularly from Rosa at Eden-Roc Restaurant. She was kind, attentive, and sincerely hospitable. She remembered details from our previous conversation and asked how our day in Cannes went. Interactions like this elevate a stay from great to exceptional. That said, there were a few aspects of our stay that didn’t quite meet the high standards the hotel otherwise upholds. Months prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to confirm that all facilities would be open in early May, just after the seasonal reopening. We were assured by Marie that they would be. Later, we were informed by the concierge (still before our arrival) that Giovanni’s would be closed, which we accepted. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed to discover that several other amenities were also unavailable—including the casual café, the Juice & Ice Cream Bar, and the rooftop Eden-Roc Lounge. The weather was warm and beautiful, so the closures felt unnecessary. Clearer communication in advance would have allowed us to better plan our trip or even consider coming later in the season when all the facilities were available. I am happy to see that the hotel’s website now lists restaurant opening dates. This is an excellent and necessary improvement for future guests.
