Asbury Ocean Club Hotel

Right across from the Boardwalk / beach and could see the famous Stone Pony from our balcony- so as fans of the Boss we were very happy- great pool areas and high spec rooms- very attentive staff and the rooms were cleaned immaculately daily- lovely pool area with bar - highly recommended

I arrived early from a flight and tried to check in at 11:30. I was told my room was not ready and they would call me as soon as it was. Check is at 4 pm. I spent several hours at the pool with screaming kids and then very loud techno music so was not what I had in vision for my day at a “luxury” hotel. At 3:50 pm I went downstairs to reception to check on my room. I was told they were inspection it. A few minutes after 4 I was escorted to a room “partial ocean view” that was at the far end of the hallway and upon opening the door all I could see was a parking lot that was next to a large outdoor stage. Again, not was is advertised on the website and not what I was paying for. I asked for another room and was taken back downstairs. I was given, after a long review of what rooms they had, another room closer to the main area, Still overlooks a parking area but on the other side which is slightly more appealing and I could actually see the water but its a stretch to call it an ocean view. Michelle who was assisting me could not have been more preofessional. She was patient with my frustrations and did an excellent job. Over the next two days she made sure to have conversations with me each time she saw me. I appreciated the hospitality in such an unfamiliar place. The rest of the staff that I encountered was also very kind and accommodating. Overall the hotel is nice but not exactly what is represented on the website. The room itself is nice and the bed is amazing. Bathroom is small but well done and the shower is good. This is not a place that you will likely have ANY interaction with other guests at the bar or in the lounge area.

Had a great experience at the hotel. It was just before the start of the season, hotel was full, but you never hear any noise, rooms are very private. Very well appointed rooms with beautiful views from the balcony. Choose ocean views and rooms with balconies if you can. Relaxed vibe, very clean common areas. The spa is also very clean and modern. The service is great, I used valet and it was seamless. We arrived early and they really went out of the way to accommodate us. Not to mention I received a phone call a few days prior to the trip to make sure they had all our preferences, time of arrival. Turndown service was very nice too and even put a relaxing ocean waves video on tv screen. Everything was lovely. The hotel does not have much of a lobby at the check in area, but they have great lounge on the 4th floor with a bar and lots of seating. The hotel is right on the Boardwalk, super close to everything. Downtown is about 10 min walk. Would recommend to everyone:families, groups of friends for quick getaway or special occasion.

No one greeted us on arrival, we took our own luggage No one was in the lobby For a 5 star Hotel You should always have someone at the front door, a bell hop etc BE AWARE THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL MORE LIKE 3 Stars
