A first class hotel with great views of the bridge and passing ships. All the staff were professional and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasure. The hotel car service was efficient as a complimentary extra for rides to local restaurants.

If one was to be a student of the hospitality industry, this is one boutique hotel to study. We live in Portland (60 miles) yet don't stay much at the beautiful Oregon coast, because of a lot of mildew, corrosion, fishy smell, wear and tear, at a lot of hotels up and down the coast. Everything is immaculate here and appears like new. The room was spotlessly clean and we had a view of the River, we could see large ships passing by several times a day. The town of Astoria, which is more than 200 years old and the oldest west of St. Louis, is an example of local renaissance changing from primarily fishing/seafood processing to hospitality. Lots of eateries and entertainment. There's a perfectly restored '62 Rambler at the front door, if you go to the hotel, ask to be driven somewhere in it. Alternately, grab one of the hotel bicycles and ride into the heart of town (1 mi). We'll return soon.

What a lovely hotel! The staff was so warm and friendly. Nathan, the bartender, offered us some sightseeing advice and made a great Negroni! The view and the vibes could not be beat. We didn’t want to leave.

One of our best overall experiences in a hotel stay, everything was exceptional! Service was top notch and rooms and the entire hotel was great! The car service was also very convenient and the driver was a wealth of information!!

Wonderful view from room. Good service and food. The balcony is nice but very small. The food is good but limited menu. Some of the tourist sites are within walking distance. It was nice to sit and watch the traffic on the bridge and river.

Cannery Pier is a nice place with a great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a special place to stay this is it! We spent our 40th wedding anniversary there and used it as a base camp for exploring the Washington and Oregon coast’s.

We only had a one night stay at the Cannery but wish we had managed to stay longer. The Inn is a wonderful place. It has a fantastic location right next to the iconic bridge and the river affording you magnificent views of the river traffic which varies from pleasure boats and yachts up to large cargo vessels such as bulk carriers and car carriers. Very modern feel to the place which is very well equipped. Great staff who could not have been more helpful in all aspects. Well stocked and very reasonably priced bar and great breakfast with lovely omelettes cooked to order. Easy to walk into town along the boardwalk if you want to venture there for dinner. We will certainly return if we are in the area again
