Forth Hotel Atlanta

I'm local and I spent one night at FORTH for a solo staycation for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. I was able to check into my room early and was surprised to hear I was upgraded at no cost to a deluxe corner king with a gorgeous view of Old Forth Ward park and the city. I got a massage at their spa which I enjoyed very much and then spent some time walking around the Beltline and Ponce City Market before heading back to my room. The room was large and very clean and open with a huge soaking tub. I ordered room service (New York *****) and it was delicious and arrived quickly. The hotel even surprised me with a birthday dessert and wine. The bed was comfortable and the room was peaceful. I loved the panoramic views. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I would recommend FORTH to anyone considering a staycation or hotel in the heart of Old Forth Ward, walkable to many places. Not sponsored at all, just a lucky gal who was treated very nicely by this hotel for her birthday!

From meeting our extra pillow and blanket request to setting up a wonderful birthday surprise to for husband this hotel exceeded our expectations. The front desk, everyone at the restaurants, and the valet parking experience were all top-tier. Unfortunately, so many Atlanta hotels have fallen in the customer service and cleanliness realm. We were very pleased to see that this hotel exceeds all expectations in that space. Clean, friendly, attentive, and truly a beautiful hotel. We cannot wait to return

My wife and I recently stayed at the FORTH Hotel Atlanta over the weekend of November 7, 2025, for a local staycation celebrating our two-year wedding anniversary. We live in Atlanta and have admired the property for a while, often passing it on the BeltLine and hearing great things — especially about Il Premio, the restaurant downstairs. Since FORTH is also part of the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program, we decided it would be the perfect spot for a special weekend. The Good: The hotel itself is beautiful — brand new, tastefully designed, and in an ideal location near Ponce City Market and the Eastside Trail. It absolutely feels five-star in terms of ambiance and decor. Our room was comfortable, modern, and thoughtfully appointed, with lovely city views. The gym is genuinely impressive — it’s part of a private, two-story club accessible to guests, which makes it feel much more elevated than the average hotel fitness center. There are also multiple bars and restaurants on-site, so you could easily spend an entire weekend here without ever leaving the property. Il Premio, in particular, was excellent — sophisticated menu, great service, and a fitting place for a celebration dinner. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the valet experience was the biggest disappointment. When we arrived, the line was backed up around the corner due to an event happening at the hotel, but even so, paying $50 per night for valet should come with efficiency and courtesy. There was no communication in advance about the event or its potential impact, and no offer of a discount or alternative solution. The same issue happened upon checkout — we waited 15–20 minutes for our car, which really soured the overall experience. At that point, we could’ve retrieved it ourselves from a nearby parking deck more quickly and cheaply. Breakfast the next morning was another point of frustration. While the food itself was good and portions generous, service was chaotic — coffee came after breakfast, and the wait for food was around 40 minutes. The restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed, possibly due to another event or wedding party, but again, that’s not an excuse for a property aiming for five-star service. Lastly, the billing and Amex credit logistics were messy. The credits were inconsistently applied, the breakfast credit didn’t show up on our folio, and a surprise charge appeared later that required follow-up by phone. The staff were friendly and helpful in resolving it, but these hiccups add unnecessary stress to what should be a seamless luxury experience. Overall: FORTH Hotel Atlanta has tremendous potential — it’s visually stunning, ideally located, and offers great amenities. But the operational side needs improvement. For the price point and five-star branding, guests shouldn’t encounter avoidable frustrations with valet, billing, or restaurant logistics. We truly enjoyed the hotel and would love to return, but only once some of these service gaps are addressed.
