Girl (1/2 years old with floaters on arms and pink swimsuit) peeing in The pool ..once you see this …….nothing absolutely nothing even the amazing views or the delicious food can make up for the disappointment. Having to flee the pool rest in disbelief…was not something we we’re planning… We have been here many times since was a small hotel and we use to love it . But now the spa is a kid’s race area likely there is no more adults only zone..it’s a pitty, we use to love this place.

Breakfast / Food top Level We had issues with one waiter very agressive with his colleagues. The massages mentioned with our reservation were not booked and no excuse. No other choice than to accept available slot for the massage. Young noisely kids broke the supposed calm of the spa. Pitty because it is a fantastic place but the sales approach is not on the level of the 5*S

Hotel Dollenberg is a nice and elegant hotel. The Spa facilities are really huge and good. The staff is nice and friendly. I can recommend this place in Schwarzwald. We enjoy as many others to come back several times a year in this region which offers us also the lovely hiking in the beautiful woods. Also a special word of thanks and appreciation to Patricia. She is an excellent guide linked to hotel Dollenberg. She is very knowledgeable and makes hiking very pleasant and interesting. Each time we come to Dollenberg, we discover new areas with her. We enjoyed our walks with her immensely and we can recommend her guided tours to anybody who is interested in coming to Dollenberg. She asks for our interests and pays attention to all the needs of each member of the group. She is driven by her talent to have a relaxing moment after the hiking with a session of yoga. Being that she speaks fluently German, French and English makes the communication agreeable. We have had many tours with her the past years during our holidays. I found the Dollenberg Resort to be lovely, relaxing, along with solitude. I found myself wanting to stay two or three extra days. If you wish to get away, and let the quiet speak to you, then visit soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel - however, it has a strict check in at 3 pm and check out by 11 am. In other spa resorts, we have been allowed to check out, but then continue to use the spa area facilities until midafternoon, before new guests check in. This is not permitted here, unless you pay a day use fee, which on top of the fairly expensive overnight rate seemed excessive to me. But, this was my fault for not reading the rules more carefully. So, staying one night is not enough! The resort and spa facilities were wonderful! Plenty of room for everyone, several pool options, saunas and so on. Our room was fantastic - beautiful view and so very comfortable. The breakfast was great! Absolutely anything and everything you could want for a German breakfast ++. I will definitely go back but will stay at least 2 nights, if not longer. The location is fantastic for hiking, getting to know the Black Forest a bit. Followed by a relaxing swim and sauna, it is dreamy.

We had a very enjoyable stay . The food at all the meals was superb and the staff were all very friendly , helpful and professional .A quick tip - do take the hike up to the hut . It is about 2 hours but the views and the food in the hut when you get there are brilliant . Take the shuttle back !! Would definitely recommend Dollenberg . We will be going back .

We came for the second time to try the new year s brunch and this will be the last time. The buffet was exactly the same as last year and this is deceptive for a 5 stars hotel. The desserts doesn't look good and are not tasty at all. We were very disappointed. An effort has clearly to be made. The service is ok but cold.
