Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort

I think this was our 4th or 5th visit to this lovely hotel, sadly writing this whilst watching the sun set from our balcony on our last night. It was our 36th wedding anniversary & we were treated to balloons and confetti by the hotel, which was a surprise & very much appreciated. The hotel is located less than 0.3 mile from Cisano (flat paved walk) where there is a small selection of restaurants and bars, also a stop for the boats, although they are less frequent here than the larger town of Bardolino. Timetables for the boats are available from the hotels reception. Bardolino is an easy, flat 20 minute walk along the lake front, where there is an abundance of shops and restaurants. The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus into Bardolino if you prefer this option. The hotel has a variety of different rooms, we have mostly stayed in a lake view room, but once we did have a side lake view room, which although it had a side on view of the lake, it mainly faced the hotel Maxamillion. The rooms are very clean, equipped with a shower over the bath, slippers, bathrobes, tea & coffee making facilities, shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap, body lotion, hair dryer, safe, mini bar, TV and a very comfortable bed. The rooms are quiet and despite the hotel (like most of them) being on a road, there was very little road noise, none at all once inside the bedroom. Outdoor pool areas are plentiful & lovely, always seemed to be sun loungers available and drink were available to order from your sunbed or at the pool bar. We stayed on a B&B basis this time and the quality and variety of food was second to none, even a separate childrens section, with kiddies plates, sweets and kids cereals. The staff are wonderful, always happy to help and care about the guests. We shall definitely be returning! I should have mentioned there is a supermarket about 5 mins walk away, to the right if you are looking at the lake. We also enjoyed a visit to Zeni wine museum and also the Olive oil museum, both come highly recommended.
