Xishan Hot Spring Hotel

The resort is located right outside a metro station, it’s very convenient to reach. It is a giant recreational hotel, so everything one needs for the weekend is there : hot springs, food in buffet, games, nice vibe… when we arrive at the hotel, pyjamas are waiting for us on the bed, and literally everyone is wearing pyjama during the entire stay. So fun, so comfortable. Small inconvenient is it is so big and so crowded during holiday, avoid the peak times.

There was a traffic jam of 10 minutes upon arrival at the hotel as many cars stop to drop off passengers at the entrance of hotel lobby. At the reception, there was a kid who kept playing with strap of the standee while grandparent and mother were talking to the receptionist. The standee dropped but the guardians did little to tell the kid that she should not play about with the standee, to avoid getting hurt. The bedroom is large and spacious with elegant touch of decor but the toilet needs to be dated as there are some cracks on its wall. The breakfast was OK but could have been better. The coffee machine were spurting hot steam suddenly that it took me in surprise as I was afraid the hot water will suddenly splash on me. There was no staff attending nearby as everyone was busy cleaning, serving and broadcasting. There were some adult and kids openly coughing to the food on the counter, which is rather unhygienic. Small kids were running around or dropping food everywhere with adults not seemingly minding them. Some adults were seen picking on their nose or rubbing their feet while eating. For the hot spring, it was too crowded with people at the pool and everywhere else, where people need to queue for a long time. There were kids jumping at the fish area where some fish passed on, parents didn't bother to mind the kids as they were on their phone. Staff had trouble controlling the crowds. Again safety issues should be seen to it. It would be good to see more prominent signs to remind the adults to mind their kids at all time, instead of looking at their handphone. The concierge was helpful with the luggages.

Appreciate to spend time with local family. There are not much foreigner in this hotel. Good salmon sashimi, clay in mala ^^ Good game zone for family Please improve on cleanliness of bathroom in onsen zone

Staying here is always so relaxing. The facilities are neat and clean. The personnel are all friendly and helpful. Great food and value for money.

It’s was really nice stay at XishannHot spring hotel, there a lot of things to do for families. It was me, my wife, our two kids of 7 years old. Beside the many swimming pools they have two indoor parks and many activities going on almost 24h! It was a really nice stay! Hotel was clean, the food was good, good organized and room well maintained! There are two things I think could be better, first is the food menu is 100% Chinese, so no western options, I think they could have some options to make easy for western kids and families. And second is the fact that all instructions and all staff speak only Chinese, so I think they should at least translate all instructions at hotel, swimming pool, indoor parks to English, these would make the stay even better!

Location is a hour drive from city centre. Room are big and comfortable. Spa amenities are good. But it is a bit crowd at the spa. Lots of people in the indoor hot pool. During winter, the outdoor are less crowd and comfortable. Buffet food is just soso. Lots of variety but of average quality.
