For our first visit to Piedmont and Barolo, this was a perfect property for us. Surrounded by vineyards, with close proximity to amazing wineries, we enjoyed absolutely wonderful service from Sarah and others on the team. When we arrived and explain that our departure would be very early in the morning, the front desk offered to have a breakfast prepared for us as we embarked on the next leg of our journey. When we left later in the week, they remembered and had a bag waiting for with a direct terrific breakfast for our drive to Turin. We were able to easily walk the beautiful grounds, tour the vines, enjoy terrific wine and snacks in the courtyard, and experience the tremendous views of the region. The property offers a terrific spa area, including a sauna and hot tub as well as massages. We enjoyed all of the above.

The setting is lovely, the courtyard is lovely, but something is missing from this place that makes it feel a little impersonal and lacking attention to detail. A small example, strolling the grounds, we noticed that the garden beds weren’t neatly trimmed and were in some places a bit **** choked, like an industrial size mower had come through but nothing more precise than that. The lobby furnishings photograph well but in person have that mid tier hotel feel. The staff is personable and helpful, I especially remember the gentleman bartender, but overall I was not impressed with this property and would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel overall is not bad but the value is not there. The showers are ridiculous they do not have the proper toiletries and the front desk staff needs serious customer service training. The bar and restaurant staff are friendly and fantastic. Whatever you do, don’t have your laundry done. They will lose it and it smells horrible. The hotel needs to be tended to. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We love Villa D’Amelia
We loved our stay. The hotel is charming, the staff and service is amazing, the restaurant is excellent. If there is only one thing that they could have better is a bigger shower box… We would come back for sure though.

We stayed for two nights and the start and end of a cycle trip. Our stay was fantastic, with a beautiful room, lovely pool and spa area and an excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff were all super friendly and the location/views are great

This charming Relais in Piedmont Italy is now an SLH Hyatt property. My wife and I stayed here for three nights while visiting Alba for the White Truffle Festival. It's conveniently located about 20 minutes from Alba in the beautiful country side of Piedmont surrounded by Hazelnut trees and it is close to many wineries in the Barolo/Barbaresco region. Our room was nicely appointed with a super comfy bed a sitting room and a large bathroom. The hotel is small but very attractive. They have a fabulous restaurant which is the traditional restaurant and they have a Michelin star restaurant which was not operating while we were there. We had white truffles every night. They have a spa and an outdoor pool which we actually used because the weather was so warm. The service was good while not being over the top. It is a very pleasant place to stay if you ever visit this region of Italy
