I stayed at Margaritaville from October 22nd for four nights. The resort is conveniently close to the airport about a 20-minute drive and check-in was a breeze. It’s a smaller property, so getting around is easy, and there are elevators throughout for added convenience. The food was generally good, and our waiter Erick at the buffet was excellent. Definitely ask for him if you can. Surprisingly, room service ended up being the highlight of the entire dining experience. The resort has a couple of pools with swim-up bars, but the selection of top-shelf liquor is limited, so you may want to bring your own. The overall vibe is geared toward an older, quieter crowd. If you’re looking for a peaceful, low-key getaway, it works—but if you want a lively, active environment, this isn’t the place. There was some entertainment, including aqua aerobics in the main pool, but the nightlife was lacking. The biggest disappointment was the beach, which is essentially non-existent. I was also not a fan of their point system for restocking the mini bar; housekeeping should simply refill it during daily cleaning. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I won’t be returning.

What a wonderful Resort! Starting from the staff to the food to the beach and then the accommodation! Our family (of 4) had the swim up paradise room, which was awesome in terms of space, and I’m still missing those omelettes from the Boat House restaurant. The food was amazing! Doesn’t matter what restaurant you go to including the buffet, the quality was excellent. Osso Buco at Frank and Lola’s was delicious! The ‘grab and go’ shop was a change the game option for all inclusive where we could get what we needed and not have to wait for refills in the room. Nice call there! Some call outs, Tania from the artworks every morning at 10 was amazing!! Kids enjoyed every day. Antonio at breakfast making jokes and getting the kids to laugh! The daily activities hosted by Angelo and Marielle (hope I got that correct) made the stay even better! Not to mention the fact that you could easily access all activities in the app was amazing. Kids totally enjoyed especially the games by the pool and beach volleyball. This location makes us want to come back again 100%. Thank you!!

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancún – September 2025 What was great: * Quiet and relaxing resort, perfect for a peaceful getaway. * Well-maintained property. * Fantastic staff: special thanks to Herberito and Ruben (waiters), Angela (smoothie bar), Gregorio and Elbert (5 O’Clock Bar), and Miros (entertainment team). They really made our stay memorable! * Beach Bar Rita: excellent food and a great selection of tequilas. Don’t miss the “El Gordo Burger” with a shot of Don Julio! A true highlight of the resort. * Pools, although small, were clean and enjoyable. What could be better: * Food in general was average and not as good as when it was Karisma Azul, apart from Beach Bar Rita. * The beach was affected by sargassum, so swimming in the sea wasn’t ideal—though this is a natural occurrence and not the hotel’s fault. * Breakfast buffet was very limited during the first week, which we found quite shocking—something we’ve never seen at an all-inclusive resort. You could still order à la carte options, but it would have been nice to have more buffet choices. Overall: We would recommend Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancún for a relaxing holiday. It’s a lovely resort if you’re looking for peace, good service, and a friendly atmosphere. Tips: Uber is available and much cheaper than resort taxis.

Here for our 20 year wedding anniversary. It has been nothing short of a horrible action for us. And it's only been 3 days. Service is far from a 5* hotel. The staff at the restaurants care more about setting up tables than they do about the guests already there. They don't check to see if you need something to drink, or a refill of something. Food is always cold, and service is very slow. Spoke to their guest relations many times, they said they'd try to help us in any way possible. It turns out that's not helping at all. That's their way. One person says the hotel is not full at all, while others say it's almost at capacity. We want to change hotels, but they don't even want to refund part of the stay. If they were truly full as their front desk management claims, they wouldn't need to keep my money since someone else is here to take the room. Honestly, it was a big mistake staying here. I'm still here, and still trying to find a solution for this mess! Some of the issues, other than service at restaurants: pool is not always cleaned. We have the swim out and there was debris and a plastic bottle floating there for a good few hours. It was only cleaned when I told them about it. Ordered chicken fingers, and there is cartilage in it...since when?

Best experienced ever,you would love the Italian restaurant, best Lobby bar with Rafael,Luis,Victor & Gibran..Omg the service and their karisma is unique..Love the rest of the staff amazing too..I need to acknowledge also Samuel,Noel,Jonathan,Angel ,Queen
