You cannot review Eastern European hotels with the same eye used on Western hotels. They are different. The staff was very accommodating; the owner was onsite. It is an older eclectic hotel with something to see around every corner. It has a medieval / Arabic feel to it. There is a market across the street from the hotel. Lots of impressive stonework and impressive wood in the rooms. I enjoyed my stay here and would return. There was a mini-refrig in the room but no coffee maker, the staff did produce an iron and ironing board when I asked for one. The room had good AC by western standards. There is a mosque close-by, and you will hear the haunting Muslim call-to-prayer if you pay attention.

This hotel was a delight from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A welcome drink of Raki before being shown to my room which had a balcony overlooking the hills. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - and the breakfast was delicious - especially the tomato/cottage cheese/pepper recipe!! 7/11 across the road for snacks as well as several gift shops. Klisman especially was very helpful - and as for the resident cat family with kittens, so cute. Would love to come back one day!!

This hotel is in a central location, very friendly staff and a very authentic Ottaman house. The breakfast is really good and served in the rooftop terrace, which is a great view of the city. There is many cool places to hangout in this hotel to relax besides the rooms. I only stayed 1 night here but wish I could have stayed longer.

Well located to visit by feet the old town . Typical hotel representing the local architecture . The staff is extremely helpful and friendly . The restaurant has a nice view on the city . little Negative point : no free parking . However the staff makes his best to find solutions .

This is such a beautiful hotel with so much character. The hotel is family run and the staff are fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and all of Berat is walkable. The views from the breakfast room are brilliant and the rooms are all wooden walls and floors and mine had a cute little wooden balcony overlooking the courtyard. This is a fantastic hotel to stay in and I would definitely stay here again if I visit Berat.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. Excellent service: they even helped me park the rental car in the tight streets. Location can’t be beat: short walk to the Castle of Berat. The rooms were super clean and beautifully decorated in the old Berati tradition. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It says it is a 3 star hotel but the service and experience was definitely worth of 5 stars.

If I could give more stars I would. I’m part of a tour group and upon arrival we had the best service out of all the places we have stayed. A welcome drink of blueberry liqueur, a smiling face walking us through what to expect, a 24hr WhatsApp number to contact etc. The hotel itself is adorable and I love it so much. I was excited to go find my room

This is a family run hotel and for once really is family run. Such a warm welcome and stay. Was there as part of a small group tour. This place is very much in the Albanian style so the character is great. No lift but they take your cases to the room so there is no problem. There is a lovely lounge/bar where you can relax. Rooms are very well appointed as are the shower/bathroom. Breakfast was a treat with eggs cooked to order and the dining room catches the sun and has lovely view. The Hotel is situated right by the town up a street so with 2 mins walking distance to everything. There is also a mini market right opposite if you need anything.
