We recently stayed at Montage Big Sky for our 10-year anniversary, and although it was a very short stay (about 3 nights) we had the best time. From the moment you walk through the door (no matter what time of day or night), the friendly staff is greeting you with open arms and warms smiles. Everyone who attended to us in any of the many areas around the property, were friendly, knowledgeable, and truly caring people. This in itself was a breath of fresh air coming from Miami, FL where everyone has a bad attitude all day long. Besides the amazing staff, our stay itself was beyond compare. The rooms are beautiful. The snacks and dining options were on-point. And the quality of literally EVERYTHING, was beyond any expectation we could've had. We are planning to go again in the summer with the family and possibly in the fall too. We can't wait to go back .

The dinner feast was incredible! Staff and over all resort just exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately the accommodations were a MAJOR let down, we booked a 4 bedroom vista view residence for $6000 a night. We worked in advance with concierge and reservations to request a private hot tub and were please to have one on check in. However the hot tub was full of 1 inch mildew green water and unusable, even after calling desk they just filled it with ice cold water didn’t even scrub and bleach out the mildew and mold and of course as we all know hot tubs take many hours to heat 50 degrees water to 104. It was unusable whole stay. They also list the residences as having “fully furnished patios”. We stayed on a no snow time so no snow on patios at all yet every balcony had zero cushions just ice cold metal furniture frames with cross hatch seats that were also unusable in the beautiful weather. Now that One& Only Moonlight Basin is open we will never return to the Montage.

Montage Big Sky is a beacon of overpriced mediocrity! This will be my 4th stay and this so called “premier” resort, and let me tell you, they have taken the concept of 5 star service and turned it into a 1 star nothing burger with a shiny foil wrapper. I have emailed the General Manager 2 times, called 4 times to ask to speak to a manager about an upcoming reservation and it’s almost a week and have not heard back. Basic hospitality 101 would tell you a guest deserves a personal response back within 48 hours. But I guess you guys operate on “mountain time” which must mean “whenever you feel like a time is good for you to personally respond back or maybe never.” It’s incredibly incompetent, or at the very least, inconsiderate. I love how the GM responds to other reviews to contact him directly – Well, don’t hold your breath for a response. Please don’t tell me to reach out to you like other review responses – that ship set sail last week!

Our experience at the Montage Big Sky Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The food was absolutely outstanding — every meal was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive: the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every detail reflected true care and professionalism. We can’t wait to return!

The room was incredible and the entire facility has amazing views and is world-class. We went during the off-season, so the hotel was very quiet. The concierge was helpful prior to our stay in booking a Yellowstone private tour, which was fantastic. The valets and bell staff were helpful and friendly. We had a bit of a billing discrepancy and the management went out of their way to correct the situation to our satisfaction. While pricey compared to other hotels, the quality of the facilities were worth it to us.

The hotel itself and rooms are very nice. However, beware that the rate you are quoted upon reserving the room is very deceptive, not including over $150 nightly resort fees and taxes. Moreover, be aware that they charge a fee for everything--i.e. a $15 delivery fee for room service, on top of a 20% required gratuity; a $59 nightly parking fee; etc, etc. Prior to booking, we were informed that they had to cancel two nights of our stay because they were overbooked. This was after we had already made our flights and planned activities. In consideration for the hassle, we were told that we would receive a $100 daily credit for "incidentals," specified as "anything charged to the room." Upon checkout, however, the credit wasn't applied, and when questioned, was told that "incidentals" didn't include parking, room service delivery fees, the required gratuity, etc. The lack of billing transparency was disappointing, and the communication from the front desk lacking. You would think that for a hotel as "sophisticated" as the Montage, they would not engage in such deceptive practices.

Wonderful resort. The staff is very attentive and always looking to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are well equipped , clean and very comfortable. The front desk manager Justin was most helpful in making sure our visit was enjoyable. We enjoyed it so much we added an extra day to our reservation. Highly recommend Montage Big Sky.

Great wedding venue, the food was subpar. Lamb was almost raw and not eatable. Chicken was fine. Nothing else on the plate??
