It’s totally overrated. Rooms are old and old style. It’s absolutely overpriced for what it is. Not even breakfast is included. The shower gel and shampoo is still in tiny, cheap bottles instead of big environmentally-friendly bottles with pumps, which is standard now in environmentally conscious high end hotels. This hotel has stopped evolving decades ago. Also single use cups only for tea / coffee at the coffee station in the lobby.

The service was great, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I love the hotel! The only suggestion I have for the hotel is to add recycling bins in the rooms or perhaps on each floor in the main corridor. This would allow customers the option to help sort our garbage and trash (plastic, paper, cardboard), especially since the rooms do provide bottled water.

A gem of a hotel and a great location if you are in Birmingham. So many great restaurants and shop that are walking. My favorite little town and hotel in Michigan!

We couldn’t have had a better experience. This hotel made us feel like we were in a Hallmark holiday movie. It was beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make us feel like royalty. The location was perfect for great meals and shopping. The concierge made dinner reservations for our group within walking distance. We loved coming back to the hotel and people watching from the lobby bar. It was comfortable and luxurious.

Service was great. Bathrooms need updating, the floor was ice cold, no place to place shampoo/shower items, and no place for a woman to shave their legs. Fixtures looked outdated.

The staff was great, the whole experience was awesome, hands down the best experience ever! I'll definitely be going back, this time we'll try the restaurant inside the hotel.
