Daxton Hotel Birmingham, Curio Collection by Hilton

The Daxton is a great hotel it’s pretty consistent every time I stay. I rate cleanliness a 3 because my experience has been hit and miss. The first and second time I stayed the cleanliness was on point. The third time I stayed they put me in a room that just wasn’t very clean they apologized, moved me immediately and upgraded my room that was nice. The last time I stayed whoever cleaned my bathroom had shedding hair or something and there were long strands of hair that were not my own in the shower and on my towel. That wasn’t cool but it happens. The amenities are great they have a complimentary snack area in each floor with coffee, tea, beverages and little pastries and snacks which is an excellent extra and overall the service is great. The area around the hotel is very walkable there is great shopping and food options there’s even a nice park nearby. The Daxton has become my go to hotel when visiting MI and I come up quite a bit.

The room was excellent. Service at the bar was poor. We had to wait 15 minutes for a server to approach us and finally had to get up and ask for someone. She was as unfriendly as can be. Not good. Coffee service in the morning Saturday 1/2 hour late. Manager claimed short staffed.

Nice room. Very small bathroom. Snacks across the hall were nice. Hotel is expensive for what it is. Valet staff was very nice and friendly.

In July, I had the opportunity to stay at the Daxton Hotel, Birmingham, Michigan. The hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. The amenities in the room are nice and the bed is extremely comfortable. I have stayed at the Daxton before and always enjoy my visit. Darryl, at the bell stand is professional, helpful and friendly. He is a wealth of information and glad to share information on dining options. I had a small issue with housekeeping and Anita was lovely. She immediately offered her assistance and took care of my issue. She was kind, caring an empathetic. She bent over backwards to ensure I was happy and there was nothing else she could do. She exceeded my expectations.

This hotel is seriously the best I’ve ever been to - my husband is very fussy and even he loves it!

Temporary construction makes access difficult but once resolve the rest has been 5 out of 5
