16世紀的一座修道院改造的酒店，酒店本身就訴説著一部歷史！可以掃二維碼一遍參觀酒店一遍聆聽歷史上發生的故事以及古老的石雕代表的意義。走廊裏陳列的都是千百年前的古物！穿過酒店外面的林間小道居然是清澈見底的小河。住在大自然裏，住在歷史裏，感覺真好！

This is the place to experience deep history, Take a pause, disconnect, relax and enjoy the quiet of this parador. It is a 3-star room stay and the beds are a bit hard, but the service is excellent. Breakfast buffet and cool to order eggs a delight! The quality of the food is high. The building that now houses Parador Cangas de Onis was founded in the 8th century as a monastery by Alfonso I and his wife – the daughter of Pelayo. During the rehabilitation of the Monastery of San Pedro de Villanueva, many artifacts from the various stages in the history of this place were unearthed and rediscovered. Two rooms in the Parador have been set aside as museum display rooms for these artifacts. Walk down to the river trail through the village to enjoy the horreos - raised houses used for storage of dry goods.

Parador Cangas de Onis is beautifully situated next to the River Sella. It is comfortable, the staff are helpful and the bedroom spacious.

This is the best Parador of our tour so far! Great Museum Parador, lovely quiet too. And great service. Food in the restaurant was Michelin star standard (respect to the chef) and we met the legend that is Ramon Palacious - the waiter who was so proud of his Parador, his region and the local cheese and cider!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and were impressed with all aspects of the service. Staff were all friendly and helpful, food was excellent.

Warm welcome and everything explained to us. Lovely room which was spotlessly clean and bathroom with eco friendly shampoo etc rather than packaged soap. Dinner was good. Portions large and in fact, too big for most people so saw some waste. One evening there was a large coach party in and service was extremely slow. The next evening the coach party went in early and good service returned. Breakfast was exemplary. Fruit, cereals, hot dishes, pastries, cheese, meats… Staff were all extremely friendly and tried to accommodate our efforts at Spanish. We would recommend staying here if travelling further into Spain.
