Kilronan Castle Hotel & Spa

Lovely public spaces…Castle King room tired and uninspired. Amazing 10 course dinner but outrageous to stand in line for breakfast for over 20 min!!! Host apologized saying “everyone showed up for breakfast at 10”….shocking on a Sunday!!!!

Another 4 night stay at the peaceful grandeur of Kilronan Castle was just what we needed. Accommodation in the castle is very comfortable with magnificent views over Lough Meelagh. Staff so helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel. Too many to name. We dined in the drawing room and in the Palm Court. Food is plentiful, delicious and presented beautifully. Service friendly and professional. Breakfast in particular is a real treat with so much choice. Don’t miss the swimming pool and facilities, the dungeon bar and library and the magnificent walks in the grounds. A wonderful place and we look forward to a return stay. The castle is beautiful and the spa was good. The spa thermal area could use a little updating but my massage was wonderful. I travelled with my 3 sisters and brother. We had been to the castle before and enjoyed it. The dinner was delicious. We had the filet mignon and it was done perfectly. We will definitely return.

I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptional the fine dining experience at Kilronan Castle was, truly a highlight of my stay. A special mention to the F&B team at both dinner and breakfast, whose warmth and professionalism made the experience even more memorable. Especially Anita who we have met at other destinations, amazing at her job! The castle is full of charm, with plenty of areas to explore both inside and around the grounds. The rooms in the castle feel fit for royalty, spacious, elegant, and full of character. Overall, Kilronan Castle is a very special and charming hotel that exceeded my expectations in every way.

We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It’s loaded with Irish heritage and artwork. You really do feel as though you are staying in a castle. The food at dinner (we ate in the casual dining restaurant) was really good. We loved the dungeon bar. Have a yellow spot whiskey and enjoy this incredible place.

We stayed here for our anniversary. It was one of the best weekends away w have ever had. The staff are so friendly and warm. So professional. Every area is spotlessly clean and very noticeable.We used the spa and had a treatment, again the staff were amazing and so helpful. Especially Anna and Sinead . I would highly recommend . We had a little gift of chocolates as It was our anniversary. Their attention to detail is second to none and we can’t wait to return.
