We enjoyed our visit to Chateau de la Rozelle. The rooms are comfortable, and the building is impressive in a nice wooded garden. There are a few areas where the standards are a bit unprofessional: 1. On arrival there are dead trees in the pots on the terrace 2. The towels in the bedrooms are skimpy 3. At dinner I asked for a glass of lager beer. It came warm so I added ice (a first for me), and the waiter had put a slice of lemon in it (another first!) 4. At breakfast the staff were very slow to top up the empty basket of croissants, the empty container of orange juice and the fruit bowl.

We chose this chateau because of its location on our two day drive through the Loire Valley to see chateaus and the France countryside. The room was very nice. The location is confusing if you are using a GPS, the road does not seem to exist. The grounds are lovely as are the many lounges in the chateau.

Fantastic place
Nice, clean and quiet. We had fantastic food and wine in the restaurant courtyard. A good night’s sleep. And our car was charged with the hotel’s charging point. Great and welcoming staff also. Big recommendations.

The Château- La Rozelle was a quite lovely place to stay in late May of 2025. The check-in was quick and cordial with English not being a problem at all. We booked dinner at check-in and chose 7:00pm. This worked out well because we could choose a nice table outside. The view just got lovelier as the evening progressed. The room was very nice with fine bedding and exquisite view from the window. The hotel in set in a lovely forested area in the small town of Cellettes. Some of the French people from the area appear to like to stay and eat here as well. It is within about 30 minutes of Chambord Chateau and 20 minutes of Cheverney. Lovely areas of rural France to drive through. Dinner was quite nice with reasonable prices for starter, main and dessert. Had a nice local Sancerre wine with the meal. The servers at dinner were excellent and spoke English quite well. think things must have changed since previous reviews. We thought everything was quite nice and would go back.

Fabulous meal - one of the best I have had (and there have been many). Delicious flavours. Lovely attentive staff. Good atmosphere. Lovely restaurant in a great building to visit even if not staying at the hotel. 5 out of 5 for presentation and flavours.

We spent three nights here while visiting chateaux in the Loire and loved our stay! The location was perfect, the Chateau was in a beautiful, peaceful park like setting that made one ding at the end of the day delightful! The room were large with lovely furniture, comfortable bed, large bathroom, lovely view and very clean. The restaurant is in a lovely garden room and the food was delicious! The breakfast had many options and was also good. We highly recommend Chateau de la Rozelle!
