Great experience we stayed 4 nights at this hotel and my wife and I loved it we recently bought a house and we will make several trips from New Jersey and this is our absolute favorite place to stay and visit the beautiful grounds are breathtaking the service is amazing and incredible from the front desk to the cleaning crew we’re so respectful the concierge jay is a very respectful gentleman full of information from restaurants to places to visit their breakfast and brunch restaurant amazing love every item in their menu the manager hotel and restaurant INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you for your hospitality and service. See you in three weeks!!

I would love to write a glowing review. I cannot unfortunately. The name may say luxury but our room was squalid. I've stayed in nicer rooms in motels in the 70's. The bathroom is gross. Lots of poor repairs, black mold in the shower, nicks and chunks taken out of the bathtub. I wouldn't shower my dogs in this bathroom. The balcony is a joke and we paid extra for a balcony. It looks like an industrial area, floor is cracked, paint ripped out, rust stains everywhere, rust stains running down the wall. Add a chair where one leg bottom was sheered off so it rocked back and forth. I took one look and rolled my eyes. This is not luxury. This should be someone's job to make sure the room rises way above shanty. We intentionally stay in upscale hotels. This failed to meet even basic standards.

We recently spent three nights at The Ballantyne and were thoroughly impressed by both the property and the exceptional staff. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance—luxurious yet intimate, with our room (402) offering comfort, elegance, and thoughtful touches. From the moment we arrived, Marley at concierge greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and made us feel instantly welcome. When we needed suit items dry cleaned before a wedding, Jay at the concierge desk personally ensured our garments were taken care of and returned the same evening—an outstanding level of service. At the Gallery Bar, Dexter made us feel right at home and crafted the best Old Fashioneds we’ve ever tasted. The team at the Gallery Restaurant was equally impressive; we enjoyed delicious breakfasts on two mornings and exceptional room service. Special mention goes to the cheese grits—they were simply outstanding

The Ballantyne Hotel is the best hotel in North Carolina! The decor is fantastic both on the inside lobby, restaurants, and especially the wonderful rooms. The entire staff was terrific from the valets, hotel front desk staff, the restaurant teams, and housekeeping. The hotel management team led by Mr. LeChatton and Mr. Grant is top notch. They are quite professional, personable, responsive, and helpful in many ways. Not only did we have some lovely amenities in the room, Mr. Grant was very helpful in advising us some good parking options for a sporting event in downtown Charlotte. The food both for dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. This hotel is a gem of a property with warm hospitality and impeccable service. I highly advise anyone traveling to Charlotte to stay at this amazing property as you will not be disappointed!

We spent a day at the spa; three family members each had massages. Massages were just ok but the spa was in terrible shape. The pool was cold and the hot tub was low on water and had a grease film all over the top. We could not even take advantage of any of the water areas due to lack of cleanliness. The entire building was freezing and I had to get my massage in a frigid room. Our room had cold water and we had to take cold showers and the TV was broken. We were in room 303. Not to mention we had to hear dogs barking across the hall all evening and night. We complained to the front desk with no help. I couldn't believe the state of this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, great service and amenities! Location is ideal as you can walk to different restaurants, coffee shops and a beer garden. Hammocks and playground right behind the hotel were great with the kids!

For the most part everything was well, great size room, ac worked perfect! However we tried ordering in room dining and it took over an hour and half to call us back to place an order. At that point it was past 1:30am. Don't promote 24 hour dinning if you cant cater to your hotel guest.
