We had another truly wonderful stay over the weekend. This place never fails to impress us. From the moment we arrived, we were reminded why we keep coming back, the atmosphere is unbelievably peaceful, and it immediately feels like a getaway from the business of everyday life. The staff continue to be one of the biggest highlights. Everyone we interacted with, from the reception team to the restaurant staff, was amazing. They manage to be both professional and genuinely warm, creating a welcoming environment that feels effortless. A special mention to our server at breakfast, who also happened to be working at the winery later in the day, she recognized us right away, which made us feel truly valued and remembered. We were also thrilled to see the Christmas decorations. Everything looked stunning and added a magical touch to the entire property. It made the whole experience feel even more special and festive. The peacefulness of the surroundings is exactly what we needed before heading into the craziness of a busy December at work. Each time we visit, we leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next stay. Thank you for yet another amazing experience. Our compliments to Kerry, the general manager for running such an extraordinary place with such exceptional staff. We can’t wait to return.

A two night stay to see if Albemarle Estate would be a good getaway from the madness of the DC Beltway area. We booked the cabin to ensure quiet and privacy. It hit on those points, but the rusticity was a bit too much. Upon entry, the air was on the musty side, as if it had been closed up and not aired out (which the staff assured us was not the case). Dead bees in the floor vents should have been vacuumed out. We understand that being in the woods adds certain challenges for housekeeping, but at $850/night, those challenges should be met. On the plus side, the fireplace absolutely rocked. We were moved to one of the pool house rooms (Taylor) for the second night. Things went much better there. Yes, as one of the reviewers noted, you do not have personal control of the HVAC setting, but have to call to have the temperature adjusted. The floor in the room above us squeaked from time to time, but no big deal. What we missed in the second room was the great fireplace the cabin had. We inquired and learned that a handful of rooms in the main house have fireplaces, though they are gas rather than wood. We'll be back to try one of those rooms. Overall, the property is pretty gorgeous, and the staff are great. We're hoping the third room is the charm.

First class all the way! Jennifer, the manager, is awesome and does whatever it takes to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The dinner was amazing. This is a must stay experience. The property, mansion and staff is fantastic, we will only be staying here on future trips!

We decided on a last minute trip to Albemarle Estate and Trump Winery after our flight to Denver was cancelled due to the Microsoft update glitch. Our experience here was perfect! Thomas checked us in and gave a nice tour. He was very friendly, prompt with our requests and quite knowledgeable. We stayed in “Taylor” by the pool house Tuesday through Friday. They were not crowded during our stay so we pretty much had the pool to ourselves! Kelly was our server for breakfast and was super kind. We also met the Larry, the maintenance man, who was on his way out for the day, but spoke with us for about an hour, which was lovely. The winery was also great. We will definitely go back!

This is a beautiful winery with excellent service to the public by every member of the staff.. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We had the tasting flights and were able to easily share them and test everything. We ate lunch and enjoyed the food. The view is stunning and worth seeing. So, come on in!

Couldn’t recommend enough. Worth the price. Staff incredibly kind and detailed. Grounds and rooms in elite condition. Food, wine, and ambiance pristine and elegant. Can’t wait to come back! A job very well done by the team! Hope people can put aside politics when necessary and enjoy this true treasure and estate. A deeply special place. We will be back! Pictures do not do it justice.

The estate is beautiful. The winery is fantastic and food at the winery is great. However, when paying over $650 per night I am expecting over the top and that wasn’t the case with Ablemarle. We started in one of the cottages which was very nice. There was a power outage and the cottages are not on generator. They moved us to the pool house. You cannot control the heat in the pool house. You have to call the front desk. We had to have the heat adjusted several times. In the middle of taking a shower the water pressure dropped to almost nothing and the water turned cold. When I reported this, I was asked what time I took the shower because they did have someone working on the water but not during the time I took my shower. Unlike the spacious bathroom in the cottage, the bathroom was tiny. I’m fairly sure the bathroom is not to code. You could not open the door all the way because the toilet was in the way. The food in the restaurant was ok. Nothing spectacular and fairly expensive (surf and turf special was $90). As a comparison we had a three course meal at Harrimans in Middleburg for $99. The breakfast eating area was very sunny and tables situated so that one person had to get sun in their eyes. Evidently the curtains were sent to be cleaned and weren’t back yet. We enjoyed a movie which was nice but $30 per person seems a little excessive. The movies are played using Apple TV. The staff was great. But the overall value just wasn’t there for me.

Booked three night stay @$765 per nite back in January as a returning patron. Three weeks prior to arrival management made a significant change and does not include a hot breakfast with stays. This is now a pricey a la carte option. Included is a makeshift continental style breakfast that prison riots are started from. It consisted of mainly spoiled milk, stale pasties and bread. It was disgusting and disgraceful that this represented the iconic Trump brand. I expressed displeasure immediately at time of check in and again the next day with staff. All fell on deaf ears until last day when Libby offered to comp breakfast and apologized profusely for the sub par offerings. By that time we had already dined on the continental choice so we politely declined. Management take note: This won’t be acceptable to patrons like us who expect a certain standard from Trump hotels. We won’t be back until management makes the necessary changes. On the positive side, room and staff were all Top notch!

Another wonderful stay at this quiet, luxurious gem. The experience here is wonderful from start to finish with a staff that is clearly well trained and very thoughtful. Our daughter goes to UVA and this is clearly the go to destination for visitors to the area.
