Dusit Hotel AG Park, Chengdu

This is the third time I stayed here because of the great location for walking and cycling, the great pool and relaxing environment with comfy and spacious rooms. However it's the second time that the reception is far from welcoming; they just want to process you through and rush on to the next person without explaining any information such as breakfast or wishing you a pleasant stay. Now it seems there is also a problem with being able to return your 600 rmb deposit efficiently. Usually after check out it can be fairly instantly returned to your bank account via we chat. Yet, despite handing in the deposit receipt they were insistant on having you scan the hotel code and pass your phone number again so they can call you the next day, which they were unable to comprehend the inconvenience of this and that some of us have jobs where phones are not allowed. If you can overlook the reception difficulties you can have a great stay but I won't be back again as there is no comparison to other five star hotels and the warm friendly reception at places such as the Hilton.
