I have to say the service has been consistently responsive and friendly - from bell services to the front desk. I am in Chicago for work this week and didn’t stay at my go to hotel (the Lasalle) bc I was attending meeting literally next door. The front desk even moved me up at my request after the first day and the views of the river from many of the rooms is terrific. Also helpful breakfast in the club for those working with platinum and above. Terrific stay so far and I expect to be back after this week. High scores all around and it’s hard to beat this location if you’re a tourist.

Hotel Series, Part 2 While I greatly enjoy exploring all the good things that Chicago has to offer, I understand that not everyone may feel that way. In fact, some might want to avoid the freezing temps of Winter and remain indoors as much as possible. If visiting a hotel as self-sufficient as possible is your priority then you should consider the Westin Chicago River North. From my perspective its greatest attribute is its proximity to, and view of, the Chicago River. Dependent upon your room’s location, you may be treated to terrific views that can be enjoyed no matter the hour. We found ourselves enjoying our view during countless conversations both day and night. In addition to offering great proximity to the Chicago River and the House of Blues, this property also boasts a full service restaurant, 24/7 fitness center, on-site business center, and on-site men’s hair salon. If you have access to their Executive Club I would highly recommend utilizing it as the views from the 25th floor are outstanding and their comfortable lounge, breakfast, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and coffee/tea/snacks stations are all great additional ammenities. Nice enough hotel, clean, attractive common areas, great location but its time for a bit of renovation....and how about using a ruler to measure the hallway closet and bathroom doors sot hey don't bang into each other. One more important thing: The entrance and valet parking is NOT 320 North Dearborn St. It's on a small side street, 83 James C Tyree Way. Took a bit of digging but Google Maps finally found it.

I go to Chicago twice a year on business. ( a trade show ) I usually stay at the Westin River North. This time I did not reserve enough hotel rooms & I could not share with my employees because the bars were too small . The hotel was sold out ! I was calling any hotel but no one had rooms. Medede the manager helped us at check-in a few minutes earlier & then I saw him back at the desk . I told him my predicament & who I was there with . Also told him im a bonvoy gold member .. I felt he was going to work some magic .. and it took a while as he typed away at his computer screen … Medede found me a room! It was a beautiful & clean room. I was so relived slept like a baby, the whole trip . Medede is a prince! No, he’s a KING! Thanks so much for everything !!

Arrived after the Giants/White Sox game and were greeted by a friendly valet. Check-in was smooth and we were given a nice room on the 17th floor. The view was of the neighborhood offices and garage. We got a very good night's sleep. The area was convenient to the RiverWalk and we enjoyed strolling and exploring the area. The House of Blues was across the street and there were lots of restaurants nearby. We were provided breakfast (being Titanium). The buffet was good but not overwhelming. The servers were very friendly. The front office staff was always willing to be helpful with advice on walking the area and driving back to Guaranteed Rate Field. They generously provided an umbrella for a walk to Starbucks during a rain downpour. The location was an easy walk to Harry Carey's for dinner and the Navy Pier. Be aware of the daily valet fee and daily amenity fee.

This is a first rate hotel. I am here to take the tour of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in Metro Chicago; the location is very near the tour’s starting point. I would probably have stayed here anyway but it works. Bed is very comfortable. Shower fixtures are posh. Breakfast in exec lounge was excellent. Views are remarkable.

I stayed here during my trip to Chicago for the Cowboy Carter Tour, and the Westin did not disappoint! Thanks to my Platinum status, I was upgraded to a one-bedroom suite—and wow, it was everything. The high floor gave me the most beautiful view of the river, and the space itself was open, clean, and just felt peaceful. Every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and greeted me every time I came or went. They responded quickly to all my requests, which I really appreciated. The room? Stunning. And that Marriott bed… always a favorite. So comfortable, I didn’t want to get up. The bathroom was spacious, and the hot water was consistently perfect. All around, this was a fantastic stay—comfortable, welcoming, and exactly what I needed for a concert weekend in the city. I’ll definitely be back!
