Hotel EMC2, Autograph Collection

Good hotel in a nice location. The staff were helpful and friendly. Room is large. Restaurant downstairs is not worth it. No room service which was a bit annoying after a long flight.

Nice and clean

The desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which I really appreciated! The hotel has such a unique design that's fun to explore. However, we did encounter a few hiccups with housekeeping during our stay. We had to ask for someone to come and clean our room, and since it was Sunday, the cleaning staff had already left for the day. Luckily Nancy change the sheets and provided us towels. We also noticed some black mold in the grout in the shower, which indicates that there might be a need for a little more attention to cleaning. I truly hope they can address these housekeeping concerns because the hotel itself is lovely, and the location couldn't be better!

Two words… STAY HERE! 🎉 Where do I start for this review? This hotel experience was the BEST by far and I don’t say that lightly. It is clean, professional, BEAUTIFUL, and modern. The checkin was flawless. I had the pleasure of being greeted by Jacqueline who was kind, attentive, efficient, and a joy to interact with. Before I could head to the elevators she already called one for me to go to my room along with complimentary waters. Next, my room… beautiful view on the 17th floor, rain shower which is the best, and so many unique components such as a horn to amplify music playing on your phone, controlling the temp through your phone or the tv, or an Alexa device connected to the hotel. I was blown away. They use robots to deliver your extra towels, water bottles, etc. to your room. My room was clean everyday! Also the restaurant on site, The Albert, has great food and I ate there 2 of the 3 nights I was there! The bartender made a special simple lemonade for me with lemon juice, water, and a special simple syrup but it was chef’s kiss! The night manager, Laura, was so helpful and had great energy. The hotel is also in prime location for the Magnificent Mile and has a plethora of food choices within walking distance. The only downside was I couldn’t enjoy mobile key entry but the staff said it was a Marriott International issue so of course I didn’t take away their amazing care and service rating for that. If you are in Chicago… you MUST stay at this hotel! You will LOVE IT! 💙
