The scenery is breathtaking, the accommodation is beautiful, the wildlife is unparalleled and the whole experience is 5 star. The cultural is difficult to comprehend and seeing stone paintings that are thousands of years old, is a unique and humbling experience. The whole site is almost like something from a ***** landscape. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely make the effort to get back there at some point.

This was our second trip and the second visit was equally as good as the first. We stayed in the Riverside suite again and everything was great. The food was first class, the service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The house keeping staff were like little fairies who came in when we weren’t there and we never saw them. An amazing experience.

What a wonderful place! What a wonderful stay! We came by car from Hermanus and were given a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. As we had opted for the most luxurious suite on the premises (with our own splash pool!), our expectations were sky high. The suite itself was huge and very well equipped. The sun deck and the pool soon became our favourite. Food was excellent throughout our stay. And the staff too! We participated in several activities, all well prepared and interesting. Our guide Byron was super. My wife went fishing one day and caught two! I went off road biking on the nearby trials. And: We could move anywhere as there are no predators on the vast estate. Bushmans Kloof is pricy, but you get real value for money. Highly recommended and we hope to be back. Per

Incredibly special hotel - we stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to SA and had the most amazing time at Bushman’s Kloof. The hotel, setting, staff and activities are all so special and unique. We spent our days mainly relaxing by the pools, whilst going on the morning walks to see Bushman’s artwork and evening safari drives. The morning walks are an absolute must-do if you stay here - amazing experience to explore the area and visit the Bushman’s rock art - our guide Abigail was amazing, so knowledgeable and attentive and made our stay even more special. Such a unique and wonderful place that we hope to return to one day!

Really lovely chilled place. In all honesty there’s not a massive amount to do there (compared to other reserves) except relax & enjoy the food - albeit there are a few walks around the estate to do & couple of drives per day - but it was perfect for us. The food was generally very good & all the staff were not only very pleasant but also very helpful. It’s an old farm with a number of separate properties around the old main house & set around a large pond (so water birds & hundreds of dragonflies) close to a river through a valley. We saw zebra, Eland, Oryx & Red Hartebeest on the game drives (other guests also saw Baboons & Tortoises while we were there), so it’s not somewhere you’ll get the BigGame experience but it was still good. There were things on offer like mountain biking, canoeing & fishing, but to be honest we were too busy relaxing to try them. We stayed 3 nights in the Riverside room, which has a private pool & we had zebras outside at midnight & Red Hartebeest first thing in the morning eating the grass. However, it was the most chilled & relaxing place we’ve been to for a long time & it’s hard not to think we’ll go again next time we are in SA. Faults: nothing I can think of & anything you ask for arrives immediately.

OASIS IN THE WILDERNESS Bushmanskloof is a gem. Service is excellent, friendly and helpful with attention to the smallest detail, from your welcome on arrival to your farewell on departure. Dining is a wonderful experience as the food is of the highest standard, tasty and well presented. Congratulations to the chef. You are surrounded by a warm atmosphere and a very tasteful interior design. The collection of ceramics is particularly delightful. Our guide Liam was most knowledgeable and a source of much information. The picnic was a most pleasant experience. As a big surprise we were spoilt with a private dinner in a fairytale atmosphere created by a crackling fire and a lot of candles. A venue to be highly recommended.

This place is beautiful and everything is available for you to make your stay adventurous or peaceful. The spa staff was also great, very well trained and beautiful facility. We adored the entire outdoors for enjoying drinks and time with friends. Our guide, Zenobia Van Dyke, was so much fun. She has an extensive knowledge of birds, animals, habitats, cave paintings and Stars! She made this experience a 10 for us in every way. I must mention the food … amazing. My first time to try Ostrich steaks.. I’m hooked. The Vergelegen wine we had was wonderful too. The rooms luxurious and comfortable. I have nothing but praise for this lovely place!
