The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis

Multiple issues. The bed was covered by a mattress pad that didn’t extend to the bottom of the bed which for a 6’5 foot man is very frustrating and woke me up many times. Valet parking was very disappointing. We called ahead at time before coming down 10-20 minutes before and the car still was not there, and we had to wait up to 15 minutes to have the car. I spoke to the manager who said this is not a typical complaint we receive, must have been just two bad times. Definitely didn’t provide the costumer service I would expect from a nice hotel. Older building with no fans in the restroom. No pool. The positive nice big gym with peloton bikes and spa.

We didn’t stay at the hotel just visited the bar for a few drinks which were well made and the service was exceptional. They have a fantastic drink menu and also have a sushi bar area and food available also.

The staff were already fielding my questions via the app once I checked in. The front desk staff helped me out big time, may it be filling up my water bottle or helping me with my reservation(my fault). Calyssa and Maggie helped me the most! Felecia had me cracking up in housekeeping! Love her! Gwen brought us dessert one night! I loved Gwen! Then both nights we dined at Casa Don Alfonso. Juan Pablo was my expert waiter both nights. We did the sorbet experience one night and pasta experience with Calvin another night. I could eat every meal there. Incredible. I can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely not please be advised this place is a complete dump covered in mold and they even have a community of Roaches that frequent the place. Honestly one of the dirtiest hotels in St.Louis and definitely not up to Ritz Carlton standards.It should be illegal for this place to charge the price they do to stay in this dump. Please do not eat the food here you will get food poisoning !!!!. There have been several reported cases of food poisoning coming from this hotel as well as health concerns regarding the mold in the building. Mold in the vents and on some of the doors you can actually smell it on some floors 10 and 16 it’s absolutely disgusting.I have a buddy that had breakfast here and had to go to the hospital shortly after for food poisoning please be warned this hotel may carry the brand name but is far from meeting the standard of a Ritz Carlton I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lawsuit soon do not stay here the Clayton Plaza Hotel is a much better facility even a good Drury in has this dump beat by far.
