Everything was perfect

It’s our last day at the Casas Ducales section of the Bahia Del Duque and I wanted to share our opinions before heading back to real working life! We paid for the room directly on the LHW site (500 euro per night booked early). Wow! I booked this hotel over others because we wanted character, shade around the pools and a kids club. What a VIP welcome- it was so personalized, humorous and attentive by Patrick, Eli, Basacz (?) and Daniel. It was well worth it to have a lovely lounge and snacks in this section. But I’m sure it would be equally lovely for your wallet if you were in the main areas of the hotel. Our room was prepared with an extra twin bed and robe for our 9 yo, and was upgraded (LHW) from double deluxe garden to partial sea view room. Though there are reports of being slightly dated (bathroom tiles worn in toilet area, bathtub (great for those with little kids but suggest adding handrail for safety getting out), deep orange coloured tiles), I did not think this detracted but rather it was part of knowing this is longest standing and first 5* resort of the area. The main beach pool was closed for renovation while we were there which was unfortunate and loud (sometimes) around the immediate area, but we enjoyed the “heated” pool (refreshing after the first cold minute) where I could also do aqua gym daily at 12:15 with Ludmila or Aman (both amazing!). We ate poolside daily from the Brasserie (the kids menu was awesome/ the spaghetti and salmon!). The staff are not intrusive at all; in fact I feel they could even come around more to sell drinks like they do in Mexico but this seems to be a more relaxed and refined international crowd. The towels /robes/slippers in the room and towels and chair cushions poolside are all so fluffy and they have molton brown soap in the washrooms and acqua di palma in the rooms. The grounds are expansive and the Canarian style of the hotel makes it stand out from more modern resorts that you can find any place in the world. The included breakfast buffet spread at El Bernagal was incredible. Cold coffee, make your own mimosa, kind servers and hostesses and a live guitarist on weekends. You can have a different type of egg every day! I honestly don’t know how people can complain when they are here. We felt so privileged to be here and taken care of by the friendly staff. Views of the ocean, pools with trees and waterfalls, plentiful sun umbrellas. It’s also very quiet so you can hear the birds. Some quiet music might be nice? Our room was cleaned by 11 am by cheerful Rosa. Our tub didn’t drain and they immediately fixed it that day (people need to report or else they won’t know!). They have onsite lifeguards and lots of great activities (ping pong, squash, gym) and kids club activities, night time entertainment that are included. What makes me give 5stars is when I feel welcome and there are many activities that other resorts don’t include. Also love that you can easily turn left or right out of the resor

What an amazing place, with staff who are only to happy to assist you, so many restraunts to chose from and close to the beach which has bars and eating places, a walk along the beach takes you into Costa Adeje and many restraunts and bars beautiful area.

We visited last week just for lunch, as we popped to the beach for a day out from our hotel in the north. The beach was amazing, and the bar was fabulous, food was delicious and the staff were all friendly. And the sun was shining! We loved it all so much, I have been looking at booking the hotel at some point in the future!

Can’t say enough about this lovely hotel. The facilities , location and ambience are the best but what’s really makes this hotel special are the staff. They are polite, efficient, and can’t do enough. I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the Ducalas part and I would give 5 stars to all of them
