Resort located away from crowd … well maintained, accessible to beach, friendly staff, activities well planned to keep kids engaged, freebies to kids like teddy, glass painting, tattoo is different compared to others… base rooms are decent, but doesn’t have balcony or scenic view … worth the money

The best thing to say about this hotel was that the bed linen was great. The rest of our experience was extremely disappointing. Our twin room - not something they clearly cater for - was very cramped for two. We were there 4 nights. The bar and dining experience left a great deal to be desired. Though there was a bar designed within the dining room, staff were unused to dealing with guests using it. Often there were a number of staff on duty, but I was ignored as they dealt with table orders. Orders for simple drinks - had to be repeated numerous times. I waited and was told drinks would be brought to me - half an hour later nothing had arrived. A second order of a Bloody Mary was mixed incorrectly. The MD asked us to wait one time as the restaurant was busy and took our room number - we waited half an hour and watched many others walking in. Drinks at the pool bar - on the menu - also took 20 minutes - there were no other guests there - as an ingredient had to be sourced - just mint!! There was considerable confusion on checking ought - not a Taj unique problem. But once again endless repeating. The restaurant cannot cope with the number of guests. Buffet food was often lukewarm and they were unable to keep on top of both basic crockery items such as small bowls and simple food items such as bananas and plain yoghurt (curd).
